The RAM Mounting System RAM-VB-168-SW1 Laptop Computer Stand Mount is the perfect laptop accessory for your Big Rig Semi Trucks. As part of the No Drill Laptop Vehicle Mount range, this mount has been designed specifically for use in the following trucks:
- Freightliner Trucks
- International Trucks
- Kenworth Trucks
- Peterbilt Trucks
- Volvo Trucks
The RAM-VB-168-SW1 Truck Laptop Mount consists of four parts. The truck seat specific base, the RAM telescoping tele-pole, a RAM double swing arm system with the patented rubber ball and socket system and the RAM Universal Laptop Tough Tray.
The RAM-VB-168 No Drill Steel Plate Base installs quickly and easily to the existing bolts connecting the passengers seat to the truck floor. The location of the base plate ends up between the truck floor and the underside of the seats airride. The base plate mounts in a position to maximize the passengers leg space while also creating a foundation for the RAM telescoping tele-pole.
The tele-pole has a telescoping height range of 19 to 28 inches and is easily adjusted by turning the knob at the top of the post. Once the knob has been tightened, the tele-pole becomes a rigid support for the Laptop Tray. Connected to the top of the tele-post is a double swing arm system which includes two 6 inch arms joined with a hand adjustable knob. The arms allow easy movement and positioning of the laptop tray for either the driver or the passenger.
The laptop tray is connected to the end of the arms with a patented rubber ball and socket joint which allows tilting adjustment to the tray as well as shock and vibration isolation.
The RAM Laptop Tough Tray is spring loaded to accommodate a 10 to 16 inch wide laptop (up to 17 inch diagonal screen). Connected to each side of the tray are four clamping arms with a rubber tip. These arms are adjustable both vertically and horizontally for optimum grip (see the Side Arm Placement pictures on the RAM Mount Laptop Tray Page) while allowing full access to the laptop ports. All edges of the tray have predrilled holes to connect smaller RAM systems to mount a GPS, PDA, Cell Phone, Satellite Radios or other electronics.
Notes for the RAM-VB-168-SW1:
- Laptop shown in the picture is not included.
- Some vehicle bases may limit seat travel.
- May not work with swivel style seats for big rigs.
- Will not fit Bostrom Seating seats.
RAM Tele-Pole Vehicle Mount System:
The RAM Vehicle Mount Tele-Pole System is a unique patent pending design that allows varying height adjustments.
 At the top of the tele-pole is a knob. With a small twist of the knob, the swing arm is free to rotate in a 360 degree circle in the horizontal plane, while the tele-pole is locked in the vertical position. With another small twist of the knob, the tele-pole is now free to move up and down for optimum mount positioning of your laptop in your vehicle.
This easy to operate vehicle mounting system is included in the entire RAM-VB Laptop Vehicle Mounts. As with all RAM Mount products, it is strong, easy to use and reliable and includes A LIFETIME MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY.
