ANOTHER GREAT RAM PURCHASE
Pros: low profile, sturdy materials
Cons: not molded specifically 4th gen ipod touch
This was exactly what I was looking for. Be warned though, this is a mount for an Ipod touch 2nd Gen. Included in the package are spacers to shim for a thiner 4th Gen unit. I have a thin case for my Ipod which allows it to fit in this unit perfectly. The mount wraps around the ipod and maintains a very low profile. I had this on my bike, cruising at hwy speeds, and it showed no signs of failure. Make sure you buy the mounting ball for the back.
I have to give GPS City a solid five stars. I dont know how they do it but I got the package delivered from NV to NY in two days with standard shipping. WOW!

APPLE IPOD TOUCH, RAM MOUNT
Pros: can use protective cover
Cons: need to buy protective ipod cover
It is a little loose by itself in the holder, but when I bought the iPod touch I also bought the protective cover. I then trim off a part of the cover where the upper catch clips over the iPod, with the cover it firmly held in place. I read other reviews that did not like the loose fit, but since I per the plastic cover to protect it, having a loose fit work out better in the long run.

BAD FIT
my ipod is loose when in the mount, seems like there is something missing to keep it tight. I use rubber bands to hold it in, don't think it should be this way. No instructions were included.

NOT DESIGNED FOR 4G
Cons: doesn't fit
This is a cradle for a 2G iPod Touch (even displays this on the back). The 4G Touch is narrower than previous models and as such does not fit securely in the cradle. Included are a couple of foam pads to "make it fit" but they don't do the job, especially for mobile uses such as motorcycles.
Recommend? NO
