RECOMMEND
Pros: holds ipod very securely Cons: be careful removing the ipod
Holds iPod G2 very securely, almost too securely. I have to use caution removing my iPod from the holder, as the iPod is in there firmly... don't want to break the iPod.

G1/G2 IPOD MOUNT
Pros: much smaller & cleaner looking than the universal Cons: ram need to make a g4 ipod mount.
I'm using this mount with a G4 Ipod. Without a cover it fits too loose in the mount and will not clamp in however, I purchased a rubber "slip on" case for my G4 Ipod and now it fits in the mount just fine, although I forsee having to replace the rubber slip on cover periodically due to the friction/wear that occurs when removing/installing my G4 Ipod from/to the mount.

EXCELLENT CHOICE
A friend told me about this set up and it works excellent. I have it mounted to my motorcycle handlebars. Now no more fidgiting around to adjust volume or change songs.
GPS City's price and quick shipping is definately a winner!

IPOD MOUNT FITS 4TH GENERATION!
RAM doesn't make a cradle for the current Nano (bright colored ones) but I have a hard plastic 2 piece cover for my nano and it just snaps in at a slight angle. Not what it was designed for but it holds solidly.

RAM MOUNT FOR APPLE IPOD
Pros: easy reach and viewing with handlebar mounting. Cons: covering device over ipod needed to fit mounting.
Will not work with "bare IPod, nor Belkin plastic covering, but does work just fine with silicon cover over IPod.

RAM MOUNT APPLE IPOD NANO G1 G2 CRADLE
Pros: cheap, effective Cons: none
I actually used this to mount my G4 Nano, I simply had to use a piece of foam to space the Nano out from the back of the mount to hold it tightly.
