GOOD VALUE

Pros: easy to install, fast an easy docking, looks good.
Cons: wobbles while ipad2 is docked

Good product for the price. Easy to install, fast and easy docking, looks good, shipped promptly.

My only issue is that while my iPad2 is docked, it wobbles enough to be an annoyance unless your parked or driving road conditions are perfect. Otherwise this product has proven useful for my application. Its pretty early to tell but so far I'm happy with this product (using daily for around a month).

IPAD MOUNT WORKS GREAT.

Pros: good price, super easy install, quality
Cons: very slight shake

Excellent product and it works. Took me all of 15 minutes to install and adjust. It will shake a little when being used if your driving but not enough to really complain about. Being able to read it while driving (mapping or directions) is no problem at all. I have it in a truck that does not have the smoothest ride so i suspect that a smoother ride would help with the little bit of shake that does occur. The parts all seem very secure with no wiggle or rattles.

IPAD2 RAM VEHICLE MOUNT PROS AND CONS

Pros: Easy and quick access to the iPad while driving. Good mounting height. Mostly secure while mounted (see problem below). Easy to remove. Cons: The RAM mounting post wiggles in the bottom bracket and no amount of tightening will stop it, annoying.

ALMOST PERFECT IPAD2 MOUNT

Pros: well designed and a fair price.
Cons: none to big to complain about

Installed in 2010 Mazda3. The base installed easily onto the seat rail bolt. Took a little effort to bend the flex rod just right. Ipad2 wobbles just a bit on bumpy roads but the car has a stiff suspension. Very easy to take IPad on and off the mount. Overall, I'm very pleased. It's great to have the IPad at my fingertips and it looks cool!

GREAT MOUNT

Pros: easy install, well made
Cons: solid arm can be hard to bend

Bought this to use my iPad as a GPS on a trip from Florida to Canada, and back again. The mount was very easy to install, the only tricky part was working in the tight space under the seat of my Honda Civic. The mount itself is very well made and solid feeling. The arm is a piece of aluminum that can be hard to bend into the right position, but once bent, it holds the shape.

GOOD PERMANENT MOUNT

Cons: bounces...ipad is fairly heavy for this long arm

This is a good mount for the iPad but it does bounce around a lot. There are 2 ball mount locations on the back. I have considered using a combo of this mount, and a cup holder mount, and both ball mounts on the back for maximum stabilty.

IPAD MOUNT

Cons: needs secondary brace

Mounted in 2010 f-150. Ram roller holds iPad very well. Ball and socket is excellent. Fantastic build quality. Needs a secondary brace or something to quell the jiggling (wobble). Arm is long iPad is heavy.

IPAD MOUNT

Pros: does the job
Cons: tight fit not that flexible requires bolting

I needed a flexible mount to fix my iPad to my rowing machine. I was surprised when there weren't many options, particularly that provided an arm that was flexible. This was the only unit I could find. I don't love it, but it definitely does the job. The flexible arm is really a somewhat flexible metal bar with a cover over it. The iPad mount itself is pretty tight fitting and always seems like its going to damage or scratch the iPad...although no problems yet...I've had it for about 3 weeks. Also, I wish that the unit had some sort of clasp to mount the mount...it requires some kind of bolting (not included).

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS?

This did not come with any real installation instructions. Also I am concerned about damaging the ipad. The roller release is not as easy as it appears in videos and it is actually quite stiff. The first time I removed my ipad from this mount it actually pulled the edge of the ipad case apart and I had to snap it back together. I'm very concerned how continued use will damage/wear my ipad.

TOO SHAKY

I am disappointed with this mount as it is too shaky while driving. The screen never stands still with a constant slight wobble and extreme shaking on pot holes. I tried contacting RAM mounts but no one responds.

I do not recommend this mount!

IT WORKS BUT SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER.

Pros: works as advertised
Cons: holder can scratch ipad seat rail mount issue.

I just received this mounting system for my iPad. It works satisfactorily. However, consider the following:

1. If you have a compatible seat rail bolt on which to mount the long tube, mounting is easy. If none exists, you must drill into your seat rail, buy a compatible bolt, and attach the long arm to your seat rail. The long arm does not come with any type of clamping device for the seat rail. As delivered, it is strictly a bolt on system.

2. The holder for the iPad fits only the iPad itself. The iPad must be taken out of any cases for mounting. The holder is made of tough plastic. The points where the iPad touches the holder are hard plastic. This may mar or scratch the iPad. I will try placing some rubber gaskets or foam at these points. Manufacturer should have designed and built the holder with rubber or foam attachments at critical points of contact with the iPad.
