Pros: stable and strong lightweight structure
Bought this item whilst visiting the US. Order was shipped same day and delivered within 2 days with excellent follow- up. The mount is used in my boat and get a fair beating. Suction appears to hold on wooden surface chart table, but will loose suction after a day or two.

ALMOST PERFECT
Pros: stron and solid
Cons: tight fit for original ipad
This device is almost perfect for my purpose. I use my Ipad both in the car and in a plane. It works flawlessly. The only problem is although it is designed to support both versions of the iPad, the original iPad is a bit tight. I always feel like I'm about to break it when I put the iPad in. It also would be nice if the arm was detachable. mBut that being said, almost perfect.

FANTASTIC MOUNT
Pros: just buy it.. it works.no droop !!
Cons: none
I bought this mount whilst on a recent trip to the US and used it for the 2800 miles i drove in 10 Days. It worked great and never fell off. Once i returned to the UK i have been using it in a turbine helicopter, and again no problems with suction or position adjustment.

IPAD IN RAM MOUNT AS A SEA CHART PLOTTER
Pros: in my case, the short arm is perfect for boating

The RAM Mount seems to meet industry standards concerning quality and functionallity. Excellent handling with a firm and steady mount even during harder conditions at sea. The iPad 2 fits perfectly. Simply magic not to be forced to drill in my old wooden interior! Also useful in the car, driving to the marina :)

GREAT IPAD MOUNT

This is an awesome mount that will not let go of your windshield nor your iPad. I felt it was too high up in the windshield so I bought another ball and arm extender and now it sits lower so my view is not obstructed out the winshield. Very easy to mount and everything stays put i.e. no drooping ipad!

GOOD SUCTION CUP! NO SCREWS INCLUDED!?
Pros: holds ipad very well, very firm.
Cons: bit of flex in the suction cup mount
This mount came with one of the best suction cups I have seen. I had other suction cup mounts for my Garmin GPS and iPhone that would fall off the windshield after a couple weeks/months of North East Ohio Temperature swings. This one stays on all the time. Although it does have a little bit more flex then I would like to see where the arm attaches to the suction cup mount.
A couple small gripes that I have about the mount: the mount requires screws to assemble everything together. Mine was missing all the screws. I notified GPS City of the omission and they sent the screws and nuts out the next day. I still had to wait 3 days or so to get them before I could use the mount. The mount was designed for the first iPad. RAM includes silicon "dots" to apply to make the mount work with iPad2. After applying these dots, I still felt the iPad2 was slightly loose when pushing the home button. I had something very similar to their dots, another silicon dot designed to hold the hub of a CD/DVD that I applied to the mount just behind where the home button is on the iPad. The mount worked OK without my addition, but my addition firmed things up so that the iPad is completely snug. I also figured the arm that came with the mount would not be long enough. So I also ordered a RAM-B-201U-C, to extend the mount further from my windshield. I was right, and I am really glad that I ordered the longer arm. Of course every vehicle is different. The entire mount seems to work best if the iPad is resting on the dash, and not completely suspended in the air.
I am very happy with this mount and use it every day to hold my iPad during my commute and on long car trips. The large screen makes a great Navigator!!

EXCELLENT IPAD MOUNT
Pros: full mobility
I'm an airline pilot and it's the best product i could ever buy for my iPad because I have All my navigation charts in full view All the time, without ocupy space in the small cockpit of the airplane i fly. Instead using the lateral window for ataching the iPad.

PRETTY GOOD FIRST EFFORT
This is a pretty good mount for the iPad. It could use a longer middle piece, though to allow the iPad to be mounted farther from the window, and allow the bottom of the iPad the rest lower than the top of the dash. It offers a great big screen for GPS navigation, but also creates a fairly big blind spot. Being able to mount the iPad lower would help.

Pros: very very versatile
Cons: have to keep it mind it might come undone ...
This is an awesome add on for any ipad owner, turns your ipad into a convenient in car gps or on the kitchen counter for a standing cook book. Even on the bed side table to make the nicest alarm clock or to watch a late light movie or just read an ebook.
