IPAD RAM MOUNT
Pros: attaches to the yoke well snug fit for ipad.
Cons: unit can't be positioned to be viewed by r/f seat
This is a sturdy and well built product which was purchased as a yoke mount.

IPAD MOUNT IN CESSNA 55 180
Pros: works great,except for the problem with the cowl
Cons: except for the problem with the cowl flap,great
The only problem that i have with it is that it will not move over to the pilots side.It will hit the cowl flap handle if you had to make some big changes in your takeoff roll.You have to use Ram # B-108U.Two mounts would be nice that way you just move the ipad over to one side or the other.

BEST MOUNT FOR THE IPAD
Pros: good fit
Cons: none
We have several of these units in several aircraft. They are mounted in the cockpit and cabin area. Easy for pax to make needed adjustments.

PERFECT FOR OUR NEEDS
Pros: lots of mounting options.
Cons: none
I have several of these in our different aircraft. I just bought this last unit for use in the pax compartment. I mounted the iPad, with this yoke mount system, to the mid- cabin folding table for a moving map display. The app I am doing this on is AviMapGPS and the pax love it. This yoke mount has lots of mounting options. Power supplied via a cig lighter plugin.

Does not work with an Aerostar yoke. However, I am hopeful the with a smaller Ram yoke fitting and perhaps a extra extension, it may work out. I am sure there is some geometry that will work.

AS EXPECTED
The iPad clamp mount works as it should. The clamps are smooth and easily adjustable. Good quality and can be adjusted for a lot of positions.

A VERSATILE MOUNTING SYSTEM
Pros: versatile
Cons: none
I have found the yoke mount option to cause the iPad to shut down, after a short time, if getting direct sunlight. It seems to prefer shade, so just a 'heads up'. This mount can be adapted to a floor mount base or seat brace mount, with an extension. I have tried various mounting positions. This can be a challenge finding the right spot that allows entry/exit and access to aircraft system knobs/dials/etc. The seat rail mount does not fit many aircraft directly, but can be modified to work well. The shorter extensions of 12 inches or less seem to have less flop/bounce-around properties. The longer ones are easily cut-to-fit, and one can easily carry several lengths if you fly multiple aircraft with different needs.

AIRCRAFT RAM MOUNT APPLE IPAD
Cons: you may need an extention
Good solid mount. You may need an exension to get it to mount to allow a clear view of instruments. The ipad is big almost too big for a yoke mount. I just ordered the Aluminum Double 3 inch Standard Arm with Double Ball Joiner. I think this will solve my issues.
