MUST HAVE OPTION!!!!
Pros: allows you to close laptop while in dock

These are a must have with the Ram dock....Allows you to close your computer while still securely mounted in the dock.

Pros: allows laptop lid to close
Cons: none
I use my laptop to do estimates. When traveling from one job to another I have my laptop closed. This is only possible with the Flat Side Leg Keepers. Holds laptop firmly in place. They are a must have item. When ordering laptop mount it would help if you could specify the style of keepers you wanted, Standard or flat style.

A "MUST HAVE" FOR COMPLETELY CLOSING THE LAPTOP.
Pros: allow complete closure of the laptop!
Cons: shouldn't be an "optional buy"!
Although these are "optional", they really should be a part of the standard mount package. Of course, everyone's needs are not the same and maybe the larger keepers will work better for your particular application!

LAPTOP KEEPERS
I replaced the original keepers with the flat mounts on three RAM laptop mounts. They allow us to close the covers on our toughbooks and they firmly hold the laptop

Let's me close my laptop while mounted. Holds my laptop secure, will not slip. These should come standard with the laptop tray. Glad I have them.

These keepers allow you to close the laptop lid when not in use. They also hold the laptop very securely. I highly recommend them for your RAM laptop mount.

RAM MOUNT 4 PACK FLAT SIDE LEG KEEPERS
Cons: i was missing a rubber pad, contacted ram and they
Works as expected, fits fairly snug but the lid closes great. Have tried it with a couple of different laptops. This should become the standard that goes out with the RAM Mounts, or offer it with these keepers.

Absolute excellant product. Not only holds laptop in place, but easily allows laptop cover to close and open. Standard keepers for tray (in my opion) are inferior.

finally a keeper that lets me close the lid without breaking the screen, they also seem to hold the laptop firmer. makes the laptop less visable with the lid closed

We have mechanic service trucks running around with lap tops in them. These fingers allow them to close the lap top as they travel over some very rough terrain. As of yet they have not lost one! Very good product!
