The expandability of this item is almost endless. Being able to connect to pieces with this item gives more them 360 degrees and the ability to put you device right where you need it. A very cool connection.

HANDY BUT EXPENSIVE
Pros: handy. put multiple, shorter arms back in use
Cons: cost
I bought this to connect two arms (duh!) so that I could utilize the arms I already have rather than buying an extra long one. I use it to hold my MP3 player in the universal cradle. Having 2 arms connected by this rather than just one allows me to position it more to my liking.

I bought the iPad mount and it came with a 3 inch arm, but I ordered a 6 inch arm so I could have a longer distance with the package. It's a great attachment!I wanted to extend the arm length of the mount and was first initially lookign to buy a longer arm again but found this attachment. So i used this to attach both arms and it was perfect!.

Another great RAM Mounts product. I used this along with another "socket-arm" piece to put my phone mount above my Tab mount. It's very movable now, and stays perfectly still when both arms are tightened.

THIS THING IS GREAT
Pros: gets the ipad2 into the perfect position
Cons: hard to find in the online catalog
The double ball is the perfect addition to the 6 inch arm so I could add a 1.5 inch arm giving me the ability to use the Ipad2 in horizontal position for reading my map. Then being able to twist it to portrait mode for displaying my charts without hitting my control yoke. It really works great on my G35 Bonanza!

Pros: good extension and angle flexibility
Cons: none
Great extension and allows more angles flexibility in positioning your mount closer. Only drawback is the finishing of the aluminum part has some rough edges, had to use a file to deburr it. US Postal Service took over 2 weeks to deliver.

PERFECT SWIVEL JOINT

KEEP SPARES

used in conjuction with medium arm B-Socket RAM-B-201U to extend the motercycle mount for a garmin GPSMAP 78S. This was attached to my seadoo. Worked wonderfully.

Rated a 3 because I haven't had the opportunity to use it yet. My intentions are to use it in a fashion that permits creating a longer arm to mount a camera than is otherwise available. Only time and the opportunity/need to try this will determine whether or not it was worth buying.

Cons: poor quality control
Function of this product is excellent, and it is quite handy to position accessories on my motorcycles. The build quality however is more than a little crude. The finish on the aluminum portion appears to be machined with a blunt rock. Sadly it seems consistent as all three I have are the same.

In conjunction with the long arm socket and a short socket I purchased, this is just neat. Allows you to creat a system for your car's needs. I sent in a review for teh long arm socket and won't repeat it here except to say it is all good.

DOUBLE BALL AT WORK
Pros: great
Cons: no con's
Using the short bar or the medium bar alone with my GPS on the wing did not position the GPS to my liking. Using the Double Ball between the short & Medium bars positions my GPS just where I want it. The GPS is now in a perfect position.
