Original question asked on Jun 28, 2012, 5:48pm
Is there a long arm solution (about 6" or greater) that fits into the ez-strap snap link base?

Does the 6" flex arm come with the balls on both ends?
I have a camera that takes a RAM A ball size (15mm) or a Garmin ball (17mm)..

after some research, ihave come up with this solution:

RAP-SB-187 RU (ez strap with short double ram ball)
+
RPR-203AFF1 (plastic standard arm)
+
RAP-SBA-RGLU (Ram to garmin long arm)

Can you please confirm if this solution will work?
Do you have an alternate solution?

Unfortunately that setup will not work. You need a long arm with two balls on it to mate with the RAP-SB-187RU. The longest snap link arm is 3 inches. Here is the arm.

You could put the double socket between the two 3 inch ball to ball mounts to make it longer than 6 inch.

I would not recommend the snap link for a camera mount. In the regular RAM-B size there will be many solutions for you. The B balls will hold their position much better.

ok thanks, how about this solution in the RAM-B size,

ram-b-108bu
+
ram-b-103-238u
+
ram-hol-ga22u

Is there a product number for these 3 units?

Unfortunately no, we do not have those pieces bundled together. You would need to purchase the individual components, just as you have listed them.
