Purchasing for son in law. Wanted to order a B-176X stem mount and the B-238U small diamond 1" ball. They already have a Ram cradle for their Nuvii 255W. It is a smaller bike, so should I look at the 1.75" socket or the standard 3". Did not want it to block the bikes instruments.

That is a tough question without seeing where and how everything is mounting. The 3" is more common and can get the unit further away from the instrument panel if needed.
