Never heard of the iWay 800C? Well we did - once. There was information for Lowrance that the iWay 700C and 800C would arrive early in 2006. As you can see, that never happened. We have left this page available so you can check back to see if this units ever become a reality. With the introduction of the iWay 600C in December 2006, we can only assume that the iWay 700C and 800C will follow - sometime.
The Lowrance iWay 800C includes an extra large 10.4 inch diagonal TFT color touch screen. This is the largest screen available on a protable GPS. The screen has a clear 600 x 800 pixel resolution, giving a great large picture of the auto routing street map in either a 2-D or 3-D view mode.
The iWay 800C includes 20GB of internal memory. 10GB of the memory is assigned to the MP3 player, which can store up to 5,000 songs (depending on compression rates and song lengths). The Lowrance iWay 700C allocates the other 10GB of memory to storing the NAVTEQ turn-by-turn, auto routing database for the continental USA and Canada and for storing up to 1,000 favorite waypoints.
This huge, yet portable iWay 800C color GPS+WAAS navigation system shows you the way to any destination with brilliant detail at 600V x 800H resolution on a 10.4'' diagonal display.
Pick your destination with the touch-screen display and the iWay 800C automatically displays the best route, and gives you turn-by-turn directions with voice and visual guidance. Substantial 20GByte internal hard drive, with 10GBytes allocated to built-in, high detail mapping and 10GBytes reserved for MP3 music storage to be used with the built-in MP3 player!
