GARMIN NUVI 200W 465T CRADLE RAM-HOL-GA25U PRODUCT DETAILS

The RAM-HOL-GA25 RAM Mount High Strength Plastic Cradle is designed to hold the Garmin nuvi 200W, nuvi 205W and nuvi 465T Series, including the following GPS units,

Garmin nuvi 200W
Garmin nuvi 205W
Garmin nuvi 250W
Garmin nuvi 255W
Garmin nuvi 260W
Garmin nuvi 265WT
Garmin nuvi 465T

All cables can stay connected to the unit while in the RAM cradle.

The Garmin nuvi 2xx Series, including the nuvi 205, nuvi 255, nuvi 200, nuvi 250, nuvi 260 and nuvi 270 WILL NOT fit this cradle. These units require the RAM-HOL-GA24 RAM Mount Cradle for the Garmin nuvi 2x5 and nuvi 2xx Series.

The cradle includes a set of two nuts and bolts to connect the cradle to any of the RAM compatible mounts.

Important Mounting Information:

If you already own this cradle, or any other cradle with a hole pattern that will match the RAM Diamond Plate hole spacing, then you require one of the RAM Assemblies listed below. If you are looking to purchase a complete mount for the above cradle, take a look at the Complete Mount list below.

This cradle does not ship with a RAM ball. To add a 1 inch ball to this cradle you need to purchase either the Aluminum Diamond Plate with 1 inch ball (RAM-B-238) or Plastic Diamond Plate with 1'' ball (RAP-B-238). If you need to mount this cradle on a 1.5'' ball system, you will require the Aluminum Diamond Plate (RAM-238).

Paul Martin El Reno, Oklahoma (Oklahoma City) January 28, 2010	VERY WEAK PLASTIC I put the above RAM Mount Garmin nuvi 200W 465 Cradle on my 08 Kawasaki Concours motorcycle BEFORE taking a long distance trip. Good thing I did because when I adjusted it back for better position it broke off in my hand!! The problem is the holes where you screw it to the ball mounting is so thin that it can't stand hardly any tension adjustment. If that happened while I was on the road doing mach 5.........there goes 300 bucks worth of GPS! If I could suggest a solution. 1. make cradle out of aluminum or 2. harden the plastic and make twice the thickness in the 3 inch diameter around the two mounting holes. 1 out of 3 viewers found this review helpful. Pros: sturdy, perfect fit, no adjustments needed Cons: none noted This is the second RAM Mount I've purchased after recently replacing an older, larger GPS system for my motorcycle, a Suzuki Hayabusa. I was able to re-use some of the previous system (backer-ball and arm) since all parts are universal fit. The product worked exactly as stated. The ONLY thing I wish RAM Mount offered is the power cord to the Garmin 255WT GPS (my earlier motorcycle RAM GPS system was a powered cradle), but I was able to find the cord on another website. 2 out of 5 viewers found this review helpful. RedWing Canning, NS August 24, 2009	NUVI 200W CRADLE MOUNT Easy to install, it took me less than 5 minutes to install the ball mount adpater to the back of the cradle and attach it to my already existing handlebar RAM mount system on my Goldwing motorcycle. Lew Elmhurst, IL July 31, 2009	NUVI 205W CRADLE, DESIGN FLAW Pros: secure Cons: some material must be removed for power connection The RAM-HOL-GA25U cradle holds my Garmin nuvi 205W securely, but there is a serious problem. There is a bar of plastic on the cradle situated just below the power socket that interferes with the 90 degree power plug. The plug cannot be fully inserted, so the power connection is intermittent at best. Mathwiz Munford,TN. June 20, 2009	GOOD GPS CRADLE FOR MOTORCYCLE Pros: quality material well designed except as noted. Cons: had to grind the back with a dremel. (small area) This cradle is made of a solid material. The GPS snaps in place and is held very securely. The only flaw I could find is that my plug into the back of the GPS is a 90 degree angle plug and the hole on the back of the cradle that the plug goes through has a ridge on it that prevents the plug from being fully engaged. It holds the GPS tightly but is easily released. I did run into a problem. The power port on the rear is not large enough to accept the Garmin propriatary power cord which has a 90 degree angle plug.
