The MapSource WorldMap CD-ROM v4 provides coverage worldwide with basemap-level detail, including political boundaries, cities, towns, major motorways and/or interstates, and principal highways; lakes, major streams, and rivers; and urban areas and railroads. WorldMap displays excellent coastline detail which includes many offshore islands, as well as worldwide nautical navaids such as day beacons, radio beacons, RACONs, fog signals, lights, buoys, and other navaids. Also shown are U.S. Interstate Exits Information, such as service stations, gas stations, restaurants, hotels, campsites, hospitals, banks, and more. WorldMap includes trip and waypoint management functions that allow you to transfer waypoints, routes, and tracks between your PC and nearly all GARMIN GPS units while viewing basemap-level maps on your PC screen. With a map download-compatible GARMIN GPS, WorldMap will also allow you to load the map detail listed above. Please note: 1. The trip and waypoint management functions of this product work with nearly all GARMIN GPS units, excluding the GPS100 family and panel mount aviation units. 2. The external boundaries of India as depicted in map(s) are neither correct nor authentic. Other external boundaries as depicted in the map(s) may neither be correct nor authentic.

Jake Kitchener, ON February 18, 2009	GARMIN CD WORLD REVIEW Pros: very good migration around the world. Cons: the font size of the island names was too small. I bought the mapping CD to hopefully provide shoreline and port information for the Caribbean islands as the marine maps are too expensive for just casual use. The product write-up says good shoreline coverage and many islands are displayed. I found the shorelines were a little coarser in detail than I expected and the offshore islands lacked detail. Minimal road coverage was given on most islands. Very good detail was given for the U.S., much less for Canada. My expectations were probably set too high but for the price of the CD (which was lowest at GPSCity) I wish I had bought one of the marine regions instead 72 out of 139 viewers found this review helpful.
