A WINNER!
Pros: compact and functions well
Cons: plug-in prongs don't fold into the unit for storag
Product works just fine. I only have one suggestion. I believe the description said the plug in prongs would stow for traveling...that they do but on the model I received the prongs had to be physically slid off the unit and was now another piece of kit you have to keep track of. I expected that the prongs would just fold into the unit like lots of other such adapters. Service from GPS City was great. Glad I found them and will continue to shop there.

GREAT LITTLE PRODUCT!
Pros: compact, well made, fold away 110v prongs
Cons: limited ampacity
I needed a 110V AC - 12V DC converter in order to play some of my small electonics indoors. I came across this adapter in a Google search, and it looked like just what I needed, and the price was attractive. I ordered it and am very pleased. It is well made, compact and I'll probably order another so I have one both at home and in my RV. A great find!

DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT
Pros: works as advertised
Cuts down number of adapters needed on trips. The car adapter now works in hotels too. They are so inexpensive I keep one in every piece of luggage.

BEST ADAPTER 110V AC TO 12V DC CONVERTER
Pros: i like the fact that it is small
Cons: none!!!
This is a very handy compact converter, It keeps my auto G.P.S. charged when i have it in the house or when i stay at friends or family. If you want a compact converter i would tell you to purchase this product. Works Great.

USEFUL WHEN YOU HAVE NO CAR
I used the adapter to recharge my GPS for a trip in Italy, where we did not rent a car . Along with a plug adapter it works perfectly. I was not so lucky with the GPS itself which took a long time to find the GPS satellites in the narrow streets of Italian city.

SPC-12V CONVERTER REVIEW
The product is perfect and allows me to reduce all the different AC adapters I have to pack. With this device (by the way input is 110-240 VAC) I only pack the automobile charging cables for my computer, cell phone PDA and GPS units. I can use it worldwide to provide 12 VDC for charging/operating all my portable devices. Excellent product.
