Garmin Topographic 2008 100K USA DVD Mac and Windows Description Garmin MapSource TOPO 2008 100k USA DVD for Mac and Windows allows you to now use all the same great topographic software on your Mac and Windows PC with your compatible Garmin GPS device. TOPO U.S. 2008 for Mac and Windows PC allows the user to install the product in full on their Mac and/or Windows PC from a single DVD. This new TOPO product is designed for interactive viewing of detailed topographic maps and land elevation contours on the Mac with purchase of the DVD. It will also allow the user to view elevation profiles on compatible GPS units. TOPO U.S. 2008 is vector-based and contains descriptive details for features typically found on topographic maps.

TOPO U.S. 2008 features digital topographic maps for the U.S., including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. It is available in two different formats making it easy and convenient to load data to your compatible Garmin device: MapSource® DVD and preprogrammed micro SD data cards.
Map Transfer from Mac to Garmin GPS
Garmin MapSource Topographic 2008 100k USA DVD for the Mac allows you to transfer mapping data to your compatible Garmin GPS unit. Download the map detail from the DVD to your Mac, then transfer mapping data to your connected Garmin GPS. It's important to note the following:
You will require the MapInstall program for the Mac to transfer the mapping data to your GPS,
You can create waypoints, routes and tracks on the Mac with the Garmin City Navigator but you will require the Garmin Bobcat program to transfer them to or from your Garmin GPS.
Garmin and Mac Programs
Garmin is actively working on creating software for the Mac that allows a seamless integration with Garmin GPS units. Currently, there are a few different programs available (some in beta) that will enable routes, tracks, waypoints and POI transfer and mapping with the Garmin Topographic 2008 100k USA DVD for the Mac.
