TOPO Canada is designed for interactive viewing of detailed topographic maps and land elevation contours throughout Canada. It provides built-in DEM (digital elevation model) data that supports 3-D terrain shading and route elevation profiles to help you estimate terrain difficulty. Plus, it contains descriptive details for features typically found on topographic maps, such as terrain contours, topo elevations, summits, parks, coastlines, rivers, lakes and geographical points.
The Garmin microSD TOPO Canada East Region 1 card (part number 010-C1009-00) includes topographic coverage throughout the Eastern areas of Canada, including coverage of Quebec, Newfoundland, Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and New Brunswick.
The Garmin TOPO preprogrammed microSD cards contain the same great detail as the DVD, including terrain contours, elevation information, major trails, summits, rivers, lakes and some roads. In addition, you can search for points of interest by name or proximity to your location.
Their compact, small size makes it easy to pack light and add maps to your compatible unit. Just plug these cards into your compatible Garmin GPS, and you're ready for the great outdoors. Loaded with detail, these cards are preloaded with TOPO maps for the region of your choice.
Pre-programmed datacards: Pre-programmed datacards can be immediately installed for use in your device. Simply
unpack the card and insert it into your compatible GPS device. These maps do not need to be unlocked to your device
which allows you to use the card with multiple units if desired. However, you will not have access to the mapping on your
computer. Maps in this format will need to be purchased separately when a new version is released. |
