The Garmin plastic cradle is designed to hold the following GPS units,
- Garmin StreetPilot III
- Garmin StreetPilot III Deluxe
- Garmin GPSMAP 295
This 'C' shaped bracket is included with the purchase of the Garmin StreetPilot III and StreetPilot III Deluxe.
THE CRADLE CONNECITON:
This cradle wraps around the back of your StreetPilot III unit and clips into groves in the unit. For an extra secure hold, a locking pin in the cradle can be screwed into the back of the StreetPilot III.
On the bottom of the cradle is a standard Garmin Cog which connects to the Garmin Auto Dash Mount Base and the Garmin Non-Skid Friction Mount Base (not included).
On the back of the cradle is the inductry Standard AMPS hole p[attern which will connect to either the RAM Diamond Plate (RAM-B-238) or the RAM 2.5'' diameter Plate (RAM-B-202).

JUST THE SAME AS MY STOCK BRACKET
Purchased this bracket so that my original bracket could stay on my motorcycle while this could be used in my car. This bracket is the same as my stock bracket, purchased 6 years ago.
Pros: fits perfectly
Cons: none
Recommend: YES

CHANGED MOUNT
Although the mount is of the same type the designed has changed and doesnt work for my Street Pilot 3 installation. I was forced to install the much more expensive Tourtech mount.
