Garmin Rino 530HCx Tips GARMIN CANADIAN RINO'S NOW INCLUDE GMRS:
The Canadian versions of the Garmin Rino 110, 120 and 130 now have the ability to use both the 14 FRS channels and the 8 GMRS channels. To activate the GMRS channels, you will need to upgrade the software in your Rino to the versions listed below, or higher.
• Garmin Rino 110 Canadian (010-00270-20)
To enable the GMRS channels on your Canadian Rino 110 unit you must have Version 3.60 or higher. Click here to download the Garmin software update.

To enable the GMRS channels on your Canadian Rino 120 unit you must have Version 3.60/5.20 or higher. Click here to download the Garmin software update.

Note:: To find the software version on your Rino, you will need to start from the Main Menu, select Setup, then System, then Option Menu (in the title bar), and then Software Version.

Position Reporting lets you send your exact location to other Garmin Rino GPS users in your group so that everyone can see your position on the map page. And, because the Garmin Rino 530HCx is a standard FRS/GMRS radio, you can use it to communicate with any other conventional FRS/GMRS radio around.
