Pros: radio, good aftermarket mapping available, Cons: cannot charge in cradle, screen a little small
Good unit, love the radio and being able to see where other users are. Good mounting systems available. Great aftermarket mapping available ( Backroads SD card).Long life battery I have had it last 12 hrs with back light on 100%. Bit of a downfall is that you cannot charge the battery in the cradle. Screen is a little small.Took some time and use to figure out some functions, because it does so much. Great that with a click of a button you can transfer trails to Google earth and save. All in all great unit. Used to be a Lowrance fan but this garmin is great!

GREAT SO FAR
Pros: long battery life
With something like this, I think it would be better to give a review after 3-6 months. However, so far I'm very happy with the unit overall.

GREAT SLEDDING GPS
Pros: great battery life and the contacts tracking. Cons: cannot get the 5watt us version in canada
I have found this GPS very intuitive with great functionality when sledding in the mountains. The syncing of GPS locations with friends/contacts works great when pressing the call button. Using the BaseCamp software and downloading the topo Canada Maps makes this a very powerful tool. The most impressive item is battery life - I used for 8hour day in cold weather and still had 70% battery life at the end of the day. Outstanding!

GARMIN 530 HCX
When wandering about in the bush in mid Ontario looking for Mooses the 530 was great. We use 4 of them and it is great to use the tracks and see where everyone else with a Rino is. The radios work well and i was never too far away to reach the others although I was never more than 3 miles away. my only complaint is that when in deep bush it seems to lose satellite connectivity. The compass would be not work and it was not possible to get a bearing, but was fine once out of the heavy cover. Bring a real compass when you go in thick growth. I loaded the top maps on one mini sd card and the street maps on another so with a quick change im ready for off road and on road. I have a garmin Nuvi 255w for the vehicle already so i dont really use the Rino in the car.
