FRICTION MOUNT
Pros: small footfrint
Cons: have to cover sticky side with plastic when not in
performs as advertised, would not confrom completely to a rounded portion of the dash but still stayed in place

Pros: excellent product! easy to use!!!
This product is easy to use. Just place it on your dash board lift up the stand and attach the Garmin and you are ready to go.

STURDY MOUNT!
Having moved to California where they do not permit window mounts albeit in specific corner locations, I was looking for a mount for my GPS. After reading reviews on the bean bag and the friction mount, I decided to go with the friction mount. There has been no problems with it so far, and I am very happy with my decision. As far as residue from the friction mount, there is an faint outline left behind. But it's nothing I am concerned about, since I am guessing it can be cleaned off easily.
Overall has not slipped nor tipped yet!

THE PERFECT MOUNT
Pros: it works like it is supposed to. nice design
Cons: about 10 years or more late coming to market
After years of having GPS units slide off, or around on, the dash with bean bags, come unstuck from the windshield at just the moment I need it most or just plain hanging around on the passenger seat when empty this is a WONDERFUL upgrade. Where has it been all my "GPS" life. It is so straight forward and effective it seems hard to believe it has taken so long to come available. And the price at GPSCITY was as good as I could find (and much better than Best Buy).

MAKES LIFE EASIER
I no longer have to fight with my old mount. I am able to use this in any vehicle that I wish to, and I don't have to worry about it leaving any marks on the dash.
