GARMIN NUVI 785T COMPARED TO AUDI MMI
Pros: east to use, very portable, good battery life
Cons: msn only works when plugged in.
Have an Audi Q7 with a built in GPS but have had to drive wife's Mini Cooper these days based on the birth of a bouncing baby boy! Bought the Nuvi to use in the Mini and and now prefer the Nuvi far and away over the Audi system. A breeze to set up and very easy to use. I really like the traffic system integration with MSN Direct - it has saved my bacon a few times with an effective re-route.

GREAT GPS BUT ALL THE FINCTION DOES NOT WORK
Pros: great look and feel, very good reception
Cons: not all fonction that work.
The body is great, the car support is great, the map inside this GPS date more than 1 year, but thanks to Garmin i can update to 2010.20 map an put it in mapsource an 785T. The Bluetooth does not work very well, the FM transmiter is to weak. The line assist, speed limit and FM traffic does not work. The speaker is to weak and i get many distortion. For the price i have paid for it(299$) it is good.

GREAT GPS MSN TRAFFIC NOT SO GREAT
Pros: easy to use, looks great, fast refresh rate
Cons: msn updates are subpar.
The GPS unit itself is great and I like the features. However, the purpose of buying this unit was because it comes with the MSN updates. I am in the Toronto area and have found that the coverage and reliability of that service is subpar and has left me unsure of the satisfaction of this purchase.

GARMIN NUVI 785T
The lane assist feature does not work on my unit. The bluetooth is not very good.I have several GPS devices (GPSmap 376C, GPSmap 76S, GPSMAP 60Cxs). This unit is not worth the price tag. I am disappointed and wish I never bought this product. Also the maps are not accurate in a lot of rural areas. Whole sub-divisions missing that have been built for more that 15 years. I bought this unit for it's features ie. lane assist and bluetooth.

NUVI 785T
After the purchasing the Nuvi 785T I have discovered that the unit Lane Assist was not working. Placing many calls to Garmin they have replaced the unit. I was tempted to upgrade to the Nuvi 880 but GPS City prices of the Nuvi 880 are not very good compared to the other Internet Retailers. One of the big Internet Retailers selling the Nuvi 880 well below $600. I have to rate this unit 3, all the rest of the the features are very good.
[Ed. note: Canadian dollar exchange rates are running about 1.25 these days, so be careful making price comparisons. We do price match legitimate internet retailers, so please call!]

I bought this unit especially for the bluetooth feature. It does not work with my HTC phone (carrier Bell Mobility). Called Garmin support, they "can't do much" said the representative. No updates on the planning. Have to give it a 3, all the rest of features are awesome.
