GARMIN NUVI 650 PRE-LOADED AUTO-ROUTING VOICE GUID
I have 4 of these units and a Nuvi 660. All have effective and operate flawlessly. The units don't always give you the best directions to your destination, but generally does provide a reasonable route. The last 3 were purchased as Christmas gifts for the kids and all were received in just a couple of days. I had considered purchasing the Nuvi 700 series but the bad reviews that I read scared me off so I stuck with the model that I was familiar with.

NUVI 350 UPDATE TO NUVI 650
I found the initial stages of the upgrade a little tedious with the downloading of the map updates, approx 5 hours of time required.
A little disappointed that the maps do not appear to be very recent as many new roads in our area are not shown on the latest update.
Initially I found the time to locate the Satellites was very slow, approx 4 minutes until I activated the "WAAS" on the settings menu, that reduced the wait time significantly.
All in all an excellent unit, I bought one of the first Nuvi 350s and was very happy with it for years. The Nuvi 650 is an easy adjustment although it takes about an hour or so to adjust to the different locations of the functions.

LOVE THIS THING!
Funny how you can become so dependent on technology. I bought this for my husband, but actually I'm the one who uses it all the time. It's very simple and straightforward to use and program, even for someone with limited tech-ie talents.

Lightning fast shipping. Left the warehouse Monday, had it in my hands within 24 hrs. Giving it for an early Xmas gift in the next couple weeks to a couple going to Arizona for the winter. Will update how they like it in the near future. Thanks again GPScity for the awesome shipping!!!

Used my 650 on travels in Montreal, New York City and Boston, unit worked great. Didn't get lost once. Unit has fast recalculating response time. Sometimes a bit slow in picking up satellites when surrounded by tall buildings. Overall, a great unit for the price. Wouldn't travel to an unfamiliar place without it.

GARMIN 650
I iust got my Garmin 650 and it is great! I found it extremely easy to use. The downloads from the Garmin website are a piece of cake. My advice to anyone who purchases this GPS model is to go the Garmin website and download the online manual and read it while you have your GPS model in your hand, if you have never owned a GPS unit before. It makes for understanding the Garmin 650 alot simpler. Can't wait to take on the road trip next week.

I just received my Garmin Nuvi 650 GPS and tried it out. The maps for Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada were obsolete. Several new subdivisions were not shown. I wrote an email complaining about the maps to gpscity.ca and was really impressed with the customer service response. I then wrote to Garmin with the same complaint, and again the customer service response was excellent. I have since written to Navteq.com to point out the problem. Hopefully, they will rectify it next time they update maps. As for the Garmin Nuvi 650 GPS, I am quite pleased with the performance. However, it is missing one feature that I used to use with a Tom Tom GPS - (A Plan from A to B feature that allows you to plan a route between any two points).

GOOD ENTRY LEVEL OF GARMIN'S HIGH END GPS
I used to owned a Nuvi 360 GPS and returned it after seen the Nuvi 650 is on sale. It is a good GPS that has almost the same features as the Nuvi 360. I liked it very much even this unit does not have the bluetooth, which I really never used with the 360. One thing I've noticed, it is more accurate than the Nuvi 360 when it comes with the map & navigation. It is more detailed showing the street in the background, unlike my old Nuvi 360 it only show the road I'm driving on even I've set it to "more" on the street level option. My version of Nuvi 650 is loaded with the NT 2008 maps and the software is updated to 4.10. I am more satisfied now with my newly acquired Nuvi 650.
