EUROPEAN MAPS AT A GOOD PRICE
Hard to beat this product if you intend to travel in Europe. It is compact so you can carry it along with all the other gear for touring and it's easily adaptable for power requirements in Europe. The combination of western Europe maps and North American make it a very useful tool for the traveler. We'd still be lost in the Cotswalds without it.

OUR BEST FRIEND IN EUROPE.
Pros: easy to use interface
This little unit was a life saver on many occasions. It worked even in the most remote little Belgian town. The only issue we had with the unit was that it was constantly trying to get us to use the toll highways but this was a minor issue.

GREAT BASIC GPS
Pros: maps of europe, na built in Cons: no route planning on pc, no track recording
Excellent deal for $200- nice small unit, maps of NA and Europe all built in, simple and easy to operate. As a stand-alone unit it works great- punch in the destination and go. It's cheaper for a reason though- compared to more expensive units it is missing the ability to create a route on PC and transfer (can't plan the route via numerous waypoints) and it does not track your progress for later review. You don't get a copy of the maps to load on your PC anyways.

GARMIN 270
Pros: good map of europe. Cons: small viewing area.
A very good choice for the price, but a little small as far as the viewing area is concerned. Hard to follow sometimes-especially in its calculation of traffic circles. Still the best for the money.

Pros: includes both north american and european maps
Bought this GPS in order to be able to use it in NA and Europe. This GPS came in much cheaper then buying a NA gps and adding the European maps.

NUVI 270 A GOOD BUY
Pros: simple to input and easy to read Cons: infrequently faulty map information
This is my first GPS and I had done some leg work ahead of time as I wanted one for travel in Canada, USA and Europe. We are currently travelling in Arizona, and I have found it a great help, especially finding places in Flagstaff and Phoenix. There are times it wants us to get on to highways where no way exists, or to exit a highway right where you have to go left, but most of that is pretty obvious. looking forward to the rest of the trip and time in Europe this summer now that I have confidence in the unit. GPS City had the best price I found.

EXCELLENT UNIT
Pros: size, price, features Cons: power cord is not curled,
I would highly recommend this unit for anyone who travels in North America and Europe. It has fast satellite acquisition, excellent graphics, automatic night time dimming, and the ability to add your own POI's! If you want a good unit, I recommend this one!

Excellent unit bought as a supplement to my 2620 Garmin . Maps and coverage for Spain was perfect and up to date. My only criticism would be the units inability to accept more than one VIA to a Route which I found a definate handicap

The Garmin Nuvi 270 that we purchased for our trip to Italy worked exceptionally well for us. There were only a couple of minor issues which were quite frustrating. The calibration for the "old" (inside the historic walls, i.e., Ferrara) cities was not current and often led us in circles and not the shortest and most efficient route in and out of these cities.
In the countryside and on the Autostrada, it worked perfectly.
I would highly(and have) recommend any American traveling to Europe and planning to rent a vehicle, either bring a Garmin or make sure the rental has one attached. What a difference!
Thank you,
Mark Paresi
