Pros: easy to use Cons: translator poor.
Unit accurate and relatively easy to use Pronunciation of Italian roadways not always easy to understand, Helpful for finding our way in strange streets not laid out in a grid pattern. Zoom out function slow to respond . Would help to have an overview map like Google maps

GARMIN NUVI 2475LT W/EUROPE MAPS
Pros: easy to update maps, easy to use. Cons: none
Truly the best thing to have when exploring Europe by road. The unit worked flawlessly and got us in and around Paris, Normandy and the countryside in Provence and beyond. Maps were updated prior to leaving and found hotels/gas stations with out any problems. The traffic info kept us up to-date. We even used the device on foot. POI's were entered via Google Maps. Internal battery could be increased in size, but not a huge problem. A great product from Garmin and great service from GPS City!

Pros: easy to use. accurate. lane assist is helpful.
Used in Europe. Had a problem with the vehicle and road floating off the map. E-mail support and they told me how to fix the problem.
Difficult to use in "walk" mode. No icon to show where you are along the route. Not sure whether to go forward or backward.

NUVI 2475LT
Had trouble with the device recognising my home city and other locations nearby. Very frustating. My son found that my device ws looking at Europe. When he changed it to Canada it worked well.

GREAT GPS
Pros: simple to operate Cons: slow to achieve satellite lock at initial turn-on
This unit was indispensable in getting around Ireland during a recent two week vacation trip. We successfully navigated through downtown Dublin from the airport to our hotel on the other side of town, as well as to various points of interest near Dublin on subsequent outings. We also readily navigated to various destinations/points of interest on our visit to Western/Southwestern Ireland. Recalculation following missed turns was quick and seamless.

QUITE HAPPY
Pros: great mobile unit, look forward to driving again Cons: as noted above
I purchased this unit as a replacement for my Street Pilot C530. Needless to say, it is a great step up in capability. it operates as well as I had hoped in almost every aspect. Two areas I am a bit disappointed in is the capacity of the internal battery life and external power connection.
1. I like to take the unit with me for use when I'm not in the car. The internal battery will power the unit for a couple of hours but I would have liked it better if it had a 5 hour capacity.
2. While the power input is through the USB 2.0 Mini Type B 5 Position receptacle, using a standard USB power supply and USB cable causes the unit to go into computer connect mode and can't be used for navigation. For the unit to operate correctly, you have to use the provided cable with cigarette lighter plug.
Because of these two issues I grade it a 4 instead of a 5.
Haven't had the occasion to use the traffic mode yet.
I had previously purchased the lifetime updates for North America and Europe for my C530 and Garmin was kind enough to let me migrate the updates to the 2475LT
