VERY GOOD GPS
Pros: big screen, bright. very good battery life.
Screen size is a plus. Brighter display and more responsive that my old 760. Recommend. I also use it on my bike.

GARMIN 1450
Pros: large screen
Upgraded from a Nuvi 350. Initially for the updated map. The 1450 has a huge screen. Making it a lot easier you see/use inside my rig - particularly offroading. New lane assist is great when heading into large cities. There was initially a software glitch with the unit - which was resolved with a software update from the Garmin tech/support. Debatable the ECO function for usefulness? Excellent product

FIRST GPS
Pros: excellent service from gps.city Cons: garmin's abysmal owner's guide
Have now used this unit extensively in town and also on the highway in both canada and usa. on the highway the speedometer reading combined with the automatic speed limit changes is awesome and results in much less stress. early on I noticed that occasionally the junction view and the lane assist would not agree but that appears to have resolved itself. I prefer to rely on lane assist. in a strange the unit is a fantastic help in guiding you around and finding stores restaurants gas stations and really any where you wish to go and of course getting you home. in fact relied on the 1450 more in the city than on the highway. recalculates directions very fast

VERY GOOD DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION BUT ERRONEOUS MAP
Pros: very good display and navigation Cons: no exact location guide, longer rountes, no recalc
I wanted to wait a while before I write a Review for this.I liked it very much for Display, Navigation and Price!! I got it for $99. The worst part of this is that it does not guide you to the exact correct location, looses way while you are on ramps and some times take the longer route.
Further either it does not recalculate or recalculates very late.

GREAT PRICE
Pros: price Cons: no bluetooth
Great price, the large 5 inch screen is fantastic. Take advantage if the Gramin member site options and the first map upgrade is free!

NICE
Pros: works great, nice volume, big screen Cons: none
Went on a driving holiday. Saved my butt a few times in a couple big cities. The lane assist worked awesome in the US but in Canada it only works sporadically. Other than that it worked great. I did not need bluetooth as my vehicle has it built in.

IT'S BETTER TO BUY THE 1490LMT
Pros: nice interface, quality design, garmin support Cons: no bluetooth, annoying silver frame around screen
Returned it after 1 week and changed it for the nüvi 1490LMT.
For almost the same price, buy the nüvi 1490LMT with lifetime map updates, FM antenna with lifetime traffic information and Bluetooth support for hands-free calling.
Also, when driving during the night, the silver frame around the screen is very annoying. However, the nüvi 1490LMT has a black frame.

AUTOMOTIVE GPS
Pros: speed and convenience...detour option Cons: minor mapping errors
Initialy had a problem with unit freezing up, that may have been fixable if I realized the reset function. Unit replaced quickly and have had very favorible experience with it. I really like the large scree, compact size, improved satelite reception, and much quicker screen update and calculations.

VERY GOOD MODEL
Pros: large display Cons: even with current maping some roads not displayed
As a senior, this unit is easy to use and the display is easy to see. The only complaint is the mapping to an exact address is not very accuate - found street OK but number may be off by several numbers - even my home address location was not correct

GOOD UNIT
Pros: easy to use and see. Cons: do not seem to be able to save a modified route.
I have been using an older (5yrs) Ique3600 for some time. The technology has come a long way. the 1450 is very easy to use and see. Many refinements in the way the display works from the Ique. Very happy with it.

Very impressed with this inexpense and very mobile unit. I have had Garmin handheld MAP76Csx so expected the same quality and accuracy, and was certainly not disapointed.

GOOD AUTOMOTIVE GPS
Pros: large screen, easy to use, many feature Cons: street name spelling not always very good
I expect more feature concerning the "logging" of the date. Perhaps, I think this gps is very good for the price.
Also, the street name and direction spelling in french is not very good.

EXCELLENT GARMIN GPS
Pros: easy to use, good screen size
I purchased the Garmin Nuvi 1450 for my mother-in-law, who's almost 80. She had purchased a different GPS and it didn't work well, so she asked me to find a good GPS for her. She has found it easy to use and see. The voice guidance is very useful to her so she doesn't have to look at the screen while driving. She also likes the re-route feature if she misses the turn. The GPS also has exceptionally good satellite reception.

GREAT GPS, MISSING A FEW FEATURES.
Pros: large screen Cons: no alert tone and no bluetooth
I own a Garmin Street Pilot C550 And love it. Needed an extra GPS for the wife's car. Love the large screen and traffic on the 1450T, but miss the alert tone before turns and the bluetooth! Otherwise it's a great item. Really think Garmin should have added those features though! Maybe they will with the next software update.

CAN'T GO WRONG WITH GARMIN
The Nuvi 1450 is an excellent GPS. The screen is large and highly visible (regardless of lighting conditions). The audio is loud and clear and the included features are just right without over-complicating things.
This is my third Garmin and have never been disappointed.

FIRST THOUGHTS ON THE GARMIN NUVI 1450
Pros: large screen, simple to use, good volume (loud) Cons: no bluetooth, rather heavy to carry
So far I love my new Garmin Nuvi 1450. One unadvertised feature is that it marks everywhere you have traveled with a light blue line, so even with no destination chosen you can follow the blue line back to your starting point excellent when taking a walk in a strange city. The lane assist was really helpful on Toronto's bigger highways on a recent trip to the Falls.

SECOND 1450 UNIT
Pros: large screen, live traffic updates, clear voice cmds Cons: the 1st one froze on me had to get it replaced
The 1st unit I had for 2 days and it froze on me. I returned it and got another one ( a replacement). So far I have used it for 3 days and I have not had any problems with it. I love the large screen and the voice is loud and clear. The one other feature which I haven't mentioned is the FREE traffic updates which can be very help full on a trip. .It is very accurate so far but I haven't really gone far with it yet but as I test it more I will be back to update my review...
