nuvi 1260T is big on features and small on profile. This ultra-thin navigator has preloaded maps for North America or Europe, free traffic alerts, hands-free calling and ecoRoute to calculate a more fuel-efficient route.
Slim Down. Take It With You
Twenty-five percent slimmer than other nuvis, the 1200 and widescreen 1300-series are ideal traveling companions. nuvi 1260T easily fits in your pocket or purse, and its rechargeable lithium-ion battery makes it convenient for navigation by car or foot. Take advantage of the 1260T's new Public Transit mode by downloading optional CityXplorer content for select cities to navigate via subways, trams, buses and more.
Get Turn-by-Turn Directions
nuvi 1260T's intuitive interface greets you with two simple questions: "Where To?" and "View Map." Touch the color screen to easily look up addresses and services and get voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions that speak street names to your destination. It comes preloaded with detailed City Navigator NT street maps, nearly 6 million points of interest (POIs), 2-D or 3-D maps and the speed limit for most major roads. Its digital elevation maps show you shaded contours at higher zoom levels, giving you a big picture of the surrounding terrain. With the 1260T's enhanced user interface, you can slide your finger to conveniently scroll between screens. You can also upload custom points of interest (POIs). And with HotFix satellite prediction, nuvi calculates your position faster to get you there quicker.
Make Hands-free Calls
For hands-free calling, nuvi 1260T integrates Bluetooth® wireless technology with a built-in microphone and speaker. Just pair it with your compatible Bluetooth phone and talk hands-free through the 1260T while staying focused on the road. Simply dial numbers with nuvi's touchscreen keypad to make a call. To answer calls, just tap the screen and speak into its built-in microphone. Enjoy convenient one-touch dialing for contacts and points of interest.
Receive Free Traffic Alerts
Steer clear of traffic with nuvi 1260T's integrated FM traffic receiver and free lifetime¹ traffic updates. Receive alerts about traffic delays and road construction that lie ahead on your route. Next, simply touch nuvi's screen to view traffic details or detour around the problem area.
Go Beyond Navigation
Navigation is just the beginning. nuvi 1260T saves you gas and money with ecoRoute - a green feature that calculates the most fuel-efficient route, tracks fuel usage and more. The 1260T includes many travel tools including JPEG picture viewer, world travel clock with time zones, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator and more. With photo navigation, you can download pictures from Garmin Connect Photos and navigate to them. With its "Where Am I?" emergency locator, you always know your location. Simply tap the screen to get your exact latitude and longitude coordinates, the nearest address and intersection, and the closest hospitals, police stations and fuel stations. The 1260T features Garmin Lock, an anti-theft feature, and is compatible with our free Garmin Garage where you can download custom custom voices and vehicles. Enhance your travel experience with optional plug-in microSD cards.
Navigate the City
With CityXplorer maps downloaded from www.garmin.com, you can explore the city using new navigable mapping. Included in the CityXplorer maps:

- Bus system maps
- Tram system maps
Use them in your home town to find new, more efficient routes you never knew existed, or bring it with you on a trip and always know the best way to get to new and exciting places.

My fourth purchase from gpscity. Previous 3 went great and I expect this one will as well. I do feel rather sheepish though. This last week I've been combing the net for a golf GPS. For some reason this evening the lights went on - gpscity. Thank goodness I remembered you folks. I'll never know what took so long though. Anyway, I got to you and I feel much better now. :) Don
