ISRAEL MAP

Pros: directons are good with plenty of warnings
Cons: how to spell many streets

Overall the map works well. There are several limitations: Such as looking up a Kibuts, the City of Holon, points of interst like the Dead Sea, the Wailing Wall and that is only after one week use.

ISRAEL NT

Horrible, unless you want directions that take you through the west bank, always take you to road 6, and make every attempt to find something an adventure in guessing how to phonetically spell from hebrew to English. Might be better if your gps is the type that will utilizer Hebrew. In short, a useless waste of money.

GARMIN MICROSD ISRAEL

Pros: hi-lited routes made the roundabout exits easy.
Cons: unusual spelling but still found our destination.

Used a Garmin 1490T to navigate Israel. Never looked at a map to navigate the country. The most difficult part of the GPS is to realize that many different spellings were required to find the place or street. Ch was Kh in the garmin. Apparently this is common with Israeli GPS's. One needs a very basic knowledge the country as to when to click on avoid area C (West Bank). If avoid area C is always on then some well travelled highways shared with the Palestinians are avoided. This is second GPS I have used in Israel and the recalc was reduced by 90% by using the Garmin.

INCOMPATIBLE

Even though the sales agent I spoke to at GPS City assured me this module was compatible with my Nuvi 255w, when I got to Israel I found out it was definitely not. I had to buy an Israeli GPS there to get around.
