DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!
This microSD is absolutely essential if you're driving in France. We just plugged in the gps and found our way around France and Belgium without a problem. At times it directed us onto routes we would have never found using the French road signs and then deposited us right at the door of our next lodging. It made our trip to France and Belgium a huge success!

We found this useful for finding our hotel in cities in Holland. Not so useful when cycling.

BENELUX FRANCE NT CARD
Pros: accurate, ease of installation Cons: too costly! cut the price by half!
Up to date, accurate, easy to follow instructions and can easily switch SD cards to get differenct countries. Better then downloading endless maps from Garmin. Directions for the Netherlands were accurate even for out of the way locations in Zeeland.

TOUR DE FRANCE
Pros: showed all the intricate round abouts.
We made a tour of France this summer. Without the BeNeLux France NT card addition to our GPS we would have been lost most of the time. There is no way 'one' map would have allowed us to navigate through France & Belgium as we did. We would have required a trunk full of maps!

GREAT HELP IN FRANCE
Pros: super easy to use and read Cons: none
This was the best thing since sliced bread. I plugged this little baby into my garmin and it guided me through france without a hitch. The street signs in france are hard to understand-even if you speak french! So this garmin memory chip for france (and other counties we did not use) worked great. If you go to france, GET IT!

GREAT AID TO NAVIGATION.
Pros: very accurate. easy and fun to use. Cons: tends to avoid major highways.
We tested the maps in several settings. We found that car mode and walking mode should be differentiated on the screen, replacing the car icon by a person icon. The maps often did not have relatively new roundabouts. We found many new ones. Tight turns in hilly terrain are interpreted as an intersection turn: be careful. Minor positioning lag time caused us to miss some turns. We found that the GPS appears to avoid major highways. Not sure if this is due to our misuse for shortest vs fastest modes. The maps do not replace a good road map for overall trip planning but we found it essential to navigate us out of confusing areas or into specific locations. We liked the autozoom feature on the screen. Will not completely replace a good road map, yet.

PEDESTRIAN MODE IN CITY
Pros: worked fairily well in mre reomte areas Cons: see above
We were unable to get a satellite signal at all, and tried several times, in Paris. We tried in wide open areas several times as well and still no luck. Very disappointing as we were only able to use this for half of our trip. Rather expensive for less than a weeks use.
