GARMIN KENWOOD CITY NAVIGATOR USA AND CANADA NT CA
The card that I got doesn't work in my system. It won't download so it's useless for me. I'm a little upset at having paid $100 for something that I can't use.

HAPPY TRAVELS
I have used Garmin products for some years and found them to be very helpful I also do know that updates are very difficult to keep up to in our fast changing world.

NOT COMPLETELY UPDATED
Cons: no free, future updates.
A lot of streets and places are not on the "new" map. My address does not come up and my place is more than a year old, so one would think that it would be on the latest mapping. It is better than the old mapping that I had which was several years old. And at least I won't be taken to may businesses that don't exist anymore. It received a rating of "4" because of the mapping not being true to all streets represented in existence as of year 2010.

GARMIN KENWOOD CITY NAVIGATOR USA
Cons: does not have all the latest stores
Says 2010 but it does not have shops and stores that opened up in early 2009! Terrible product! I still have to use mapquest and google maps on the internet or my cell phone to be sure where I am going! I have been standing in front of various stores, like Dennys and when I look for one it says its 4 miles away!! This damn thing has me driving all over town for places that are alot closer but the maps dont have these stores updated.

GREAT IN US, INTERESTING IN CANADA
Pros: more places, new places new abilities work great Cons: just the weird one off places that aren't there.
I made sure to update our GPS before we drove to Canada. To get us there and around town it was GREAT! Found our resort just fine, got us to the ski resorts and tourist attractions. The two interesting times were 1) I almost ran out of gas, and while it found all the mainstream gas stations, there was one I found in between 2 mainstream ones out of desperation. I thought I was going to have to walk to get gas, but there was some gas station. It had been there for many years already. The town was immediately of the Trans Canad Highway and across from a new developent, so not sure why it was't found. 2) A friend wanted to mail a letter to his girlfriend overnight or two-day from Canada, so we had to find a Canada Post place where someone would take it. So I typed it in and followed the directions. Now there were plenty of locations listed. The one we chose ended up being just the little post drop box, on the sidewalk outside of a 7-11. We went into the 7-11 and no Canada Post, just the drop box. For the Americans reading this, there are post offices inside some establishments, like Grocery stores, thats why we checked inside to make sure.
Also, there is some new ability to change your course midstream or something, there were a few new icons, not sure what they all are, but having fun figuring them out.
Anyway, besides those two little anomalies which will probably be fixed in a update or two, this did great.
*** The Biggest pro was that not only did this cost less than from the Garmin/Kenwood site, but that site said it would take 3 weeks before my product shipped! I had this one from GPS city at my home in under a week from the day I ordered. Which was just in time for my trip.

NAVIGATOR NT CARD 2010 FOR KENWOOD NAV
Pros: ease of use, price, and availability. Cons: haven't found any
What can I say, everything worked and had no problem with the DNX7100 recognizing that new maps were available to be used. I don't think a person could fail in getting this to operate as intended. The only reason would be a bad chip.

PROBLEMS WITH MY GARMIN UPDATE
Pros: none yet - but i am hopeful Cons: cannot get it to work
So far I have not been able to get the update to be recognized by my Kenwood system. I have sent the SD chip back to Garmin twice, I am currently waiting for the second replacement. If it does not work I will return the SD chip to GPS City and ask for a refund.
