GREAT GPS
Pros: features Cons: haven't found any yet.
I live and work in one of the most isolated places in Canada, far from any cell signals or roads. So far, so good. I haven't used most of the features on this GPS but am looking forward to the many different options. I just upgraded from my Garmin Etrex Vista HCX and found it was very simple to use right out of the box. I loaded my 8 gb SD micro card with a ton of maps from my Topo Canada CD. I I haven't used it too much out on the land yet but I'm looking forward to it. I bought this GPS mostly on the features and reviews and I am not disappointed. I did buy the screen protector and rhino mounts for the ATV when the snow melts. Overall a good purchase. I have bought from GPS city in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

GARMIN 62ST
Pros: small and light weight
This was purchased as a present for my daughter and following Christmas as a family we used it to go to an Geo Cash Location that was 4 miles off any road and this unit for first time user was excellent. The unit is easy to use and we were impressed by the graphic display it provided of the Terrian we cover in the Canadian shielded. The locking in of our start location also enabled us to use the contour features to select an different return route to the car.

GPSMAP 62ST
Pros: all features are esy to use! Cons: none
All I have to say is, this is by far the best handheld unit i've ever had & seen. The Canadian Topo maps are insane, the details are incredible. A must have for for every outdoor person, whether it would be hiking, fishing, hunting, geo-cashing, it's easy to use. Best purchase i've ever made.

EXELLENT SYSTEM!
This is a great handheld GPS with all the features anybody would want or need. The Canadian Topo-map is a very nice feature to have and provides a lot of detail. Once I figured my way around the menu system, I was able to put this device to good use without any difficulty. Adding waypoints and following my track was easy and efficient. Be sure to use the power save feature and set the screen saver to a very short period because like any device it will drain the batteries quickly. I can't think of anything that I would change on this other than adding the Lakes and Rivers map for Quebec once it becomes available for Garmin (I have it on my boat GPS/Fish Finder combo system which is not a Garmin). Paid the extra for next day FedEx delivery and it was in my hands literally within 24hrs!

GREAT DEVICE
Pros: great applications, no touch screen, Cons: clumsy software, expensive,
Bought this device for geocaching and am enjoying learning to use it for general navigation as well. I used a Nuvi 3790t first (great car gps, terrible geocaching gps) and wanted something with paperless caching and higher accuracy. The 62st fits the bill (and is probably overkill). The "sight 'n go" feature has been helpful in determining new way points,. The compass and trip computer are also great additions. I could have bought an Oregon or Montana but wasn't happy with the touch screen on my Nuvi. Once you put a screen protector on a touch screen they loose their sensitivity. Not a big deal in a car, but using an outdoor gps with a clumsy touchscreen would be frustrating. For outdoors buttons are best.
Overall a great device.

GREAT UPGRADE FOR ME
Pros: precise, device loads fast, paperless (!), maps Cons: still some bogs, can't delete some wps as you wish
Before my GPSMAP 62ST, I had a etrex venture HC. I regreted not getting a paperless GPS for all the writing I had to do before going on the field. I can now use all of the descriptions, logs and spoilers to find the caches. It will be very pleasant to learn new places/attractions via the description instead of reading all of it before, or printing it. I also like the small increase in precision. Maps included with the GPS are useful to find parking spots or the way to get to the caches by the streets. It loads and find satellites pretty fast. Things I don't like from the device are not-that-user- friendly (cannot delete waypoints or caches easily, some glitches with bonus waypoints), the fact that we cannot directly change coordinates for caches (useful for Mystery and Multi caches). I also had recent problems with lines getting traced by themselves on my map... It seems like it is creating tracks for the go-to lines. I've played with the 60CSX, the etrex and the 62ST and I prefered the stick cursor over the pad the GPSMAP(s) have.

REPLACING THE 60CSX
Pros: slightly bigger screen, new ui Cons: takes a little time to get used to new ui
Unboxed and set up, I was called on a Search and Rescue task the very next day a complicated mountain rescue in a heavily glaciated region I'd never been to before. The GPS performed flawlessly helped me navigated a newly snow covered glacier, several rappels, and a search of an alpine cirque.
I've used the GPS 60CSx for about 5 years now in almost every condition: snow, rain, ice, sun, forest and rock. The GPSMAP 62ST is the natural successor in this line it has a better compass, improved the UI, and shows shaded relief which makes navigation easier.

EXCELLENT MAPPING GPS
Pros: easy to use and many features. Cons: downloading maps
This GPS is outstanding with all sorts of different features, there is only one concern I have and that is the instructions on how to download maps. Garmin isn't very informative on this.(ie : overlaying on maps). All in All very nice GPS.Long lasting Battery life.

REALLY ENJOYING THE 62ST
Pros: great right out of the box Cons: none so far
From what I have played with it so far I really like the new displays and the ability for it to go back into "old school" mode while I learn the ins and the outs of the new box. Battery life seems good much better than Colorado.

BEST GPS SO FAR
Pros: fast precise friendly & easy to use Cons: preloaded maps canada v.2 - common shame on you
This is a new addition to my collection of Garmin GPS and I am so glad to have bought it right away. Garmin as left the old features so loved by the 60 series goers. For those looking to get a more up to the time GPS this one beats the even the touch screen series.
