GOOD!
Pros: precise, fast Cons: maps are not detailed enough
I just bought This gps device and was impatient to try it.. Found out the maps are not detailed enough to my tastes, will buy some maps soonish to remedy the lacks. It's a very precise, fast gps tho. Also the shipping was quick, everything was well packed and the price was fairly good, compared to other online shops.

BEST EVER HANDHELD GPS
Pros: just loving it! amazing! Cons: non found yet
I own 4 GPS units (Garmin Zumo 550, Garmin e-Trex, Garmin GPSMAP 62SC and Magellan Gold Meridian). I have worked as a Emergency Response Team Coordinator and Search & Rescue team member for 27 years now and my new Garmin GPSMAP 62sc is just amazing. It is simple to use, it has all the features I want and the built-in camera links my pictures to the location where the pictures were taken, a really important feature for the Rescue team. I am blown away by the High sensitivity receiver and have not been able to loose the signal, even in the deepest woods of our west coast forest! When printing out a route on my computer, the printout comes with Scale, North arrow, Lat/Long, Waypoints, Routes, JPEG's and Satellite Overlay with Birdseye - just amazing. Garmin, you have certainly done it again and this is the best unit I have used for our Search & Rescue team. The first SAR person that saw mine purchased one also and we are now considering switching all our SAR units to GPSMAP 62sc.

GREAT GPS FOR HIKING
Pros: robust gps unit. Cons: camera
Great product. Bulky for the screen size but very robust!
5Mpx camera is not good. It does not replace a real camera.

GPS62SC
Pros: mounts well on quad. no interference with controls Cons: no manual. confusing to use
Being new to use of GPS I actually have found it difficult to navigate. I do not know the system. Was unable to determine how to locate local backroads or trails to be able to use the unit confidently. I felt I would be able to turn it on and be able to go out and not worry about where I am going. Not the case. Need a manual with clear directions on using the unit on the fly.

GOOD BUT NOT THE SAME AS MY GPSMAP 60CSX
This is a good GPS unit but I sent it back and replaced it with a purchase of the older generation GPSMAP 60csx. I used the 60csx for years at work and I prefer the functionality that I was used to. I also prefer using Minnesota DNR Garmin to download/upload my data and I didn't want to mess around with BaseMap, which is what the 62sc requires.
I will say that gpscity.com was fantastic through the whole process. The prices for both units were good, the customer service on the return was very helpful and understanding (it's nice when a company can admit that they've had other customers with similar complaints to mine about the unit I bought), and shipping was prompt. gpscity gets 5 stars.

LIKING IT
I like the heavy solid feel of this unit. Also the repositioning of the power button to the side instead of on top as on the last 60 series is a very nice improvement. There is enough internal memory to hold all the maps a person could ever use and popping a 2 or 4 gig card in it gives it enough room for a 1000 plus high res pics.
