GOPRO HD 'SCENIC' RIDE

I bought the following items to mount my GoPro HD to my motorcycle to record some of my trips. It was a simple matter of unscrewing a bolt, placing mount under bolt and retightening. Simple stuff and sturdy too.

(Medium Arm B-Socket RAM-B-201U)
(Mini Motorcycle Mount Base 9mm Hole RAM-B-272U)
(HERO Tripod Mount Adapter)
(Camera Mount Plate RAM-B-202AU)

I mounted the RAM mount to the back of my bike. A buddy of mine and I went for a spirited sunday ride around some curvy parts of town... We were doing some laps around this area and we came across two young women and they had noticed that we'd been doing laps. As we passed by on our final run, one of the two young women flashed us. My friend nearly dumped his bike and in the reply video, you can see his head turning in the direction of the visual assault. We turned around and looked for them but unfortunately, they were gone. We quickly went home to review the video captured and thanks to the RAM mount bought from GPSCity, we can relive the moment for years to come. Also makes a great story. Unfortunately the stills from the video are inappropriate to post, so I've posted another 'scenic' picture from that ride.

I have the Universal X-Grip phone mount with suction cup in my truck. I've had my bike a couple months now, new rider, so i wanted to be able to carry my phone with me. So that i could use gps mainly, for when i just want to ride all over, get lost, and not have to worry about it. This is how I did, i got the RAM Mount RAM-B-272U, then used the Plastic Lite Arm B-Socket RAP-B-201-1U and Universal X-Grip Cradle.

Doing a lot of long distance runs, I needed good directions and tunes at my fingertips. The Goldwing already comes with LOTS at your fingertips so I needed to find a way around it all. I also wanted the XM receiver and Garmin on the same side but clear of the controls already on the handlebar. As these pictures show, The Ram Mount System accomplished it all.

The Pioneer Inno receiver it's XM signals with it's built in antenna because the mount allows it a clear shot to the sky although mounted close to the GPSMAP 276c. It's all about angles and that is what make RAM Mounts great!

Yes, two of the photos were take by me, at speed, but I'm not crazy. Clear straight New Mexico roads and a sidecar greatly reduced the danger. But don't try it at home!

I've bought several items from GPS City and been very pleased with service and delivery. My Garmin 2730 goes from my Goldwing to Trailblazer in seconds. My riders group does the Virginia Grand tours and we see parts of Virginia that no one normally sees.

TOMTOM MOUNT IN HONDA ACCORD

Hi. Just want to say that the RAM mount for my TomTom Go 720 worked like a charm in our 2007 Honda Accord. The exact part number is RAM-B-316-1-TO6. I attached the bracket at the foot of the mount to the seat rail bolt. The attached photo shows how it is in a good position for the driver and the front passenger. (I haven't yet bothered to tuck away the 12V power wire). It is easy to rotate the GPS using the ball mount in behind the cradle. The height is good and it feels solid. Do take care removing and reinstalling the seat rail bolt. This is part of the safety system for the car (you don't want the seat to come apart from the floor in an accident). I ended up removing the washer from the bolt and using a washer under the RAM rod bracket (it all fit nicely together this way and left sufficient thread in the nut in the car floor). Cheers, Peter

RAM MOUNT ON MY 05 GOLDWING

The Ram mount is so easy to install I let my 13 year old mount it for me. My wife can use the remote to navagate and get info on were she can stop to pee again, from this position and we can both see it well.

MOUNTING A GARMIN SP7200 IN MY MOTORHOME

List of Parts I Used

I mounted a Garmin SreetPilot 7200 in my motor home for a LOT less money than I'd have had to pay to have one installed by the factory. Instead of the Garmin stock mount, I mounted it on the face of the dash using a Ram Mount with two ball joints. I purchased the parts from Expressmounts.com.

The SP7200 is a great GPS mapping system that is large, easy to see and intuitive to use. And it comes loaded with features. This model also plays Audible Books, MP3 music, and even XM radio. You can plug in an SD card to store a vast amount of music, audio books, and POI's. I wired the audio lead into the Aux #2 input of the dash Magnadyne Radio. The 12v lead is wired to the dash radio switch so that it works with the ignition off. There are no wires laying on the dashboard making for a very clean installation.

GARMIN STREETPILOT 2720 TRIP

I used my GPS for 1st time on major trip this summer from Regina to all points in Alaska, Yukon and back.

It is a Garmin 2720 street pilot - marriage saver going! ( wife refuses to try and read maps) on a side trip to see a water fall (Kinuseo Falls) higher than Niagara Falls the new highways diverts around a washed out and replaced bridge. I followed the GPS directions and found myself looking at a barricade after 2 miles of older pavement. I did a U turn and retraced steps following instead the highway by road signs- the GPS eventually accepted we were on the right road and took us to a spectacular sight - pictures of falls and road attached

RAM FLEX LEG IN CAR MOUNT FOR GARMIN STREETPILOT 7200 IN A 2006 ACCORD

Here are some photos on my new GPS in my 2006 Accord. Special thanks to Chris (tech support) for recommending this RAM Mount. As you can see I had to bend to bracket slightly to fit under the seat bolt (I also replaced the bolt with a longer one since I lost some of the thread engagement due to the added thickness of the bracket and washers). I also added some one inch black corrugated split tubing over the arm to allow room for the cables (power, GA27C & GXM30 antennas, and audio line out). I added an auxiliary audio input to my stock stereo to accommodate the 7200’s audio output. This is a very impressive GPS not only the map display and the MP3 player, but the XM Radio and especially the NAV Traffic. I got on the freeway after church today listening to XM Radio and herd – “traffic ahead”. I tapped the yellow triangle on the display and saw an alert about a stalled car in the right lane a few miles ahead. I’m planning a 2,000 mile road trip in a few months and am really looking forward to it. If you have any questions about the installation, please let me know.

RAM MOUNT OF GARMIN 7200 IN A FORD EXPLORER SPORT TRAC

I have provided photos (1-5) that show the general installation sequence (see attachment). Of course, there was drilling, installation of a grommet for the wires to pass through, hardwiring the 7200 harness into the vehicle's 12V system (with the proper inline fuse), etc.

Parts:
RAP-B-202U - after drilling holes to coincide with this mount's holes, I used a piece of rubber behind the mount to separate the console from the mount (no plastic on plastic rattles). I also used a cut piece of plywood as a backplate to the console to give it strength and spread out the weight of the Garmin StreetPilot 7200.

R10-10749-00 - I purchased an extra Garmin cradle so I could splice one into the Trac's 12V system while having an extra cradle to use in other vehicles.

RAM-B-202-G3U - I attached a ram mount to the Garmin cradle using this mount and hardware.

RAM-B-201U-A - This links the RAM mount on the console to the RAM mount on the rear of the Garmin cradle.

Description:
The Garmin 7200 is a great, but big, GPS unit. It would have created an immense blind spot if I sat it on my dash. Using the fantastic RAM Mount system, I was able to install it where I could easily glance at its screen and access its functions, yet still preserve my windshield view. I have driven with this installation for over 5,000 miles and could not be happier. Undoubtedly, RAM offers a fantastic installation system for those "custom" jobs. Thanks!

RAM MOUNT FOR STREETPILOT 2720 ON A MOTORBIKE

I like to thank you all for your very professional work that you doing. I was very pleased with the sales representatives and technical support technicians who helped me to decide what type of equipment I needed.

I am an electro technician and I like electronics. This one is the most impressive piece that I own. Keep up the good work.
