FIXED CHARGING PROBLEM
Pros: exactly what was needed to fix charging problem
Cons: garmin's cradle should be designed to last longer
Shipped fast/arrived fast and good price! Happy that I ordered from GPScity. I ordered this after having problems with my GPS not charging. Others had commended that their problem was with the cradle GPS holder also (and not with the power cord). This also fixed my GPS charging problem.

NUVI 755T CRADLE GPS HOLDER
It works! .. and the Nuvi is performing well for its age and outdated map. I use the nuvi for house-hunting/real estate and for road trips .. a casual user .. who has bought 6 GPS products .. why replace something that works well for a minor fault of design? .. shipping/service on this item was the best! .. a fix that took under 1 minute .. literally!

GARMIN 775T CRADLE REPLACEMENT
Pros: solved problem at reasonable price
Cons: must be really careful in using item not to break
Nice to have a suitable replacement. Just sad that many have experienced this same problem that Garmin hasn't seen fit to provide a better alternative for what seems like a fatal flaw in the original.

NOTHING SPECIAL, BUT NEEDED FOR GARMIN NUVI
Pros: did the trick! fixed the cable connection.
Cons: inner workings are fragile just be gentle!
My Nuvi 760 stopped working (spotty connection) and I thought it was the cable. I bought a new cable and the connection was still spotty. I went online and discovered that this was the part that needed to be replaced. Apparently, the place where you insert the cable is rather fragile, and with lots of use (or maybe just yanking the cable out when disconnecting), it becomes weak and no longer carries the connection. I've had my Nuvi for four years and use it a lot (including driving in Europe) so maybe it's normal wear and tear. But for $20, it's A LOT cheaper than buying a new GPS.

Shame on Garmin for having such a poor design on an otherwise great GPS line. This little devise has caused many faithful Garmin users unessassary frustrations.If you are experiencing power disconnect, or erractic on, off issues, then this replacement item just may be the ticket, & will have you up and running in no time flat. But obviously do your homework to insure that this is indeed the fault. Great item, lightning fast, best shipping in the industry!!

REPLACEMENT PART WORKS
The GPS unit would not charge using either cord we had, so assumed this part needed to be replaced. This cradle holder corrected the problem for a fairly low cost. Yea!

We were getting power disconnect issue with the gps and after reading the reviews I bought this cardle holder and it fixed the problem for a very reason cost. I would recommend this item to every one who has garmin 700 series and shame to garmin for their design fault

IT SAVED THE DAY
Pros: for me, it was exactly what the doctor ordered.
Cons: wasn't free.
When I started getting the power disconnect issues I thought I needed a new wire and the a cradle but after reading a few reviews I thought this was worth the gamble. When I got the part I was pleasantly surprised how nicely it worked. The cradle has a firm grip on the back ball and the wire connects nicely. I now remove the wire from the cradle when I carry or store them away.

PROBLEM WAS IN GPS HOLDER
Problem: Garmin battery can't hold charge, so dependent on being plugged in. Issue was that we weren't getting power to the unit. For period we could address the issue by pulling the wire at the unit in a certain direction, but after a while that didn't work. On-line research state 12- V plug on wire could be problem. Bought a new one, didn't solve issue, so next component was cradle holder. Installed and no issues now.

POOR DESIGN - NEEDS TO BE HANDLED CAREFULLY
Cons: poor construction
I ordered this OEM cradle as a replacement for the cradle I received with my Garmin GPS device. The first cradle failed because the connector for the power cable failed. Upon inspection the connector was poorly soldered and worked loose after the cable was installed and removed several times. I tried to reinforce the connector on the replacement cradle and and plan to handle it very carefully. There really is no alternative if you wish to connect the Garmin GPS with the power cord, so treat the cradle as a fragile device.

Cons: design is same, so it could fail again.
The equipment is an exact replacement for original. Price is fair considering it could have been the cable which is much more due to the traffic receiver. Part installs in seconds and is immediately useful. I am more careful not to put any weight on the cable, which I am convinced was cause of failure. Shipped quick. Very pleased.

Cons: poor design for rugged comsumer use
The item is labeled as a Garman OEM and is an exact match to the original. However the original GPS holder is flawed as it comes from Garman. Do not apply excess force in removing the charging cable, because it will pull the connect right out of the unit. It is held on to circuit board only by its surface mount solder pins

I ordered this product hoping to solve my gps power problem. I first ordered the items and they did not come on the estimated time of delivery. They ended up being misdelivered by post office.However, when Icalled gps city and told them the problem they swiftly sent out the new pieces I ordered and they where there in three days. The good news is this solved my problem and saved me a bunch of money.

AFFORDABLE SOLUTION TO FACTORY DESIGN FLAW

This product solved the problem at a fair price. Garmin Nuvi 7XX has a known factory defect, specifically a week solder joint in the cradle power connection. I've stabilized the power cable with velcro attached to the rear of the Garmin, so even if this replacement is equally defective, I won't be stressing that solder joint any time soon.
