GARMIN FORERUNNER 405 REPLACEMENT BAND
Pros: has everything you need in one kit
Exact band (original) that comes with the watch when purchased. Kit included a tool that made it very easy to change out. Took me about 2-3 mins to change both pieces and I am not tool savvy nor a Mr "fix it" by any means. I defintely recommend this product to replace your original band.

Garmin replacement band is not easy to replace for an amateur, however I fixed it. After consulting a example movie from Garmin on you tube.
GPS as an overseas supplier is in my opinion oke. Price and delivery also eacceptable It was my first overseas order.
On the other hand, the quality of the Garmin 405band is after 2 year not what you want to see.

Initially, I was confused on what to do with the tool provided, as I had thought during the time of purchase that it was a screwdriver. After, I figured things out, the entire assembly was a breeze. It was definitely a painless process from dismantling to assembly.

GARMIN FR405 BAND REPLACEMENT BLACK

The band keeper (with the metal Garmin logo) broke off, so the tail of the band was flapping around. Sounds like these bands break once a year if you use the watch frequently. I wore it nearly continuously for 6 months, so the watch took a beating. The replacement band was delivered quickly - about 1 week later - but the shipping was $8! Turns out the shipping is $8 for TWO bands also, so I bought two to drop the unit cost and also because it looks like I'll be replacing the band at least once a year. Replacement band came with new springs and the tool needed to compress the springs to remove/replace the band. The operation was very easy and took about 10 mins. What worked for me was to start removing the longer band section since it's easier to pull out of the way to gain access to the springs. Pry on spring back while pulling outward away from the watch body on that one side. You should then get the spring released on that first side. Repeat for the second side. Now you can get at the springs for the clasp half of the band and repeat the same steps. For mounting the new band, I started with the short side and placed the new spring into the holes on the watch body. Don't push the spring all the way through so that it's centered. You want to leave it off center so that you can insert one side of the new band into the watch body. Then you can work the spring until it falls into the hole in the band. Compress the exposed end of the spring while pushing the second corner of the band toward the watch body. Once you push the spring end into the gap between the band and the body, you can then push the second corner of the band into the watch body and it should snap into place. I heard the pin pop into the hole on the bond. Hopefully these direction help, since there aren't any included with the replacement parts. I was surprised how easy it was.

LOOKS AND PERFORMS LIKE THE ORIGINAL
The two small teeth on the short part of the band had to be sanded down slightly (I used a fingernail file) in order to get a perfect fit. Took a little manuevering to get it on, but once on, it was perfect. Delivered extremely quick!

EXACT REPLACEMENT OF ORIGINAL
Pros: comfortable fit, waterproof sweatproof
Cons: hopefully it will last longer
This band it the exact replacement of the original band that came with the Garmin 405. It took about 5 minutes to install it, and the tool that comes with it really helps. My original band has lasted about 1 year and cracked right where I usually clasp it. I expect to have to replace this one in a year from now as well.

GREAT WATCH
we had to replace this watch band because the other one broke. We bought this for our son who attends West Point. He only takes it off to shower. It had taken alot of beatings. But it only lasted from Christmas until June. I am sure we will be buying these often. He does love the watch.

NOT A FIX FOR ME

Cons: price, shouldn't have to pay within a year
Unfortunately, as expected, did not solve my issue as the watch is broken at the base and Garmin will not replace it unless I cover costs of shipping, duty and taxes and allow a 4-6 week turnaround time, which is not acceptable in the middle of training & competition season. Its very poor after sale service and I have since moved onto another provider.
