GOOD GPS TRAINING WATCH
Pros: tough watch, ant, parameters. Cons: garmin connect
the watch does exactly what is expected of it and more. The HRM is also nice to maximise your training efficiency. Lock pretty fast to sattelites most of the time. Garmin connect, however, is not so good (Nike's website seems better). The ANT system is also great.

GREAT FITNESS GPS
Pros: a lot of value for the money! Cons: none so far!
Awesome trainings device that gives me especially for running instantly the data I need. (Running speed, lap time)No need for me to drive to a track. As well I like "Garmin Connect" for reviewing my trainings sessions. With Google Earth I am able to map our mountain bike trails. It takes some work to customize the screens to someones personal use. But it is well worth it.

GREAT TRAINING TOOL
Pros: ease of use
The 310 is a great training tool. Easy to use and with the Garmin connect site you can track your workouts online. Uploading is transparent. The device simply works as described.

FORERUNNER 310XT WITH HRM
Pros: its garmin - enough said
I bought this as my first GPS/HRM sports watch and so far it has really impressed me. Easy to read display with multi screens and lots of info. The vibrating alerts are a good feature and addition to the normal tones. The new soft strap HRM does seem to be prone to spike quite a lot, as high as 230 - 240 BPM, making the data pretty useless. The initial set-up of the software (ANT+) was a bit tricky but I got that sorted. One issue I did pick up was the firmware upgrade - it would not download to the device unless you add a number of the Garmin links to your Windows Security centre "Trusted" list. This does not get mentioned in any manual or instructions. I still cannot get my data / courses / goals downloaded to the device. All in all a very good device with some minor software issues which I would like to think will be sorted out with new firmware upgrades.

BEST FITNESS GPS FOR LONG DISTANCE TRIATHLETES
Pros: simple user controls, long battery life Cons: haven't found any yet
Very happy with it so far. My previous watch was a Garmin Forerunner 405 which gave me nothing but problems (i.e became non responsive when in the presence of moisture or humidity). This watch just works! Moisture, rain, water - no problems. Battery life is excellent, perhaps not 20 hours as advertised but at least enough to get you through an Ironman triathlon.
