EXCELLENT ACHAT!
Pros: boussole, altimètre, Cons: peux pas mettre de carte sd dedans.
Rapport qualité prix extraordinaire! Je l'utilise à la pêche, en quatre-roues, en randonnées et bientôt à la chasse!!!!

JUST WHAT I HOPED FOR.
Pros: holds signal well, customizable, good on batteries Cons: it froze on me twice.
I researched many gps receivers before settling on the Summit HC. It has met all my expectations and more! I was concerned that it only had 24 MB memory but I was surprised to find just how many topo maps that holds. It is full of features that aren't even described on the Garmin website and is very customizable. And most importantly it's great at keeping signal lock.

GOOD GPS
Pros: electronic compass
Summit HC is great. very good at holding satellite lock even under heavy foliage. base map is no good so buy the topo map. internal memory is pretty good, it can hold at least 50 topo maps.

SUMMIT HC REVIEW
I bought this unit for Geocaching. It has proven to be very good at holding satellite lock even under heavy foliage. However, you do need to buy maps for it to really unlock it's potential. I first bought the Mapsource World Map. This proved to be a big mistake as it did not have the detail I was looking for (streets, etc.) Then I bought a thrid party map, Discover Canada, and that had both topo and streets. Now my Summit HC is great.
