MOUNTING CLIP IS A-OK
Pros: the right part
Cons: hard to find elsewhere for purchase
I was forwarded this site by Garmin customer service after my original clip broke. It survived montain biking, dirt biking, geocaching, and car navigation before it finally wore out. I picked up two of these because they're darn near impossible to buy. I couldn't find them anywhere.

GREAT REPLACEMENT
Pros: fit like original equipment
This part can only be obtained from Garmin as part of the original GPS Unit. Express Mounts was the only outfit I could find that offered a replacement. Really saved me from having to come up with some kind of inferior rig.

ETREX CX MOUNTING CLIP
What can you say about a mounting clip except you're very glad to find a replacement when the original wears out. I bought two that will hopefully get me through the life of the eTrex. I would definitely recommend using the lanyard looped around your handle bars as a backup when the clip or mount eventually fail.

WORKS GREAT!
For a long time, these clips were a special request from Garmin, very difficult to get if the original breaks, which does happen eventually. I was very happy to find this clip here. It works great, an exact replacement -- I got two of them for spares.

ETREX CX SERIES MOUNTING CLIP
I use this clip to mount an eTrex to my bicycle for navigation. This clip combines with a handlebar mount to use the GPS on the bike. It works very well. The clip is the same one that is also used for belt mounting. Good design.

GARMIN E TREX CX SERIES MOUNTING CLIP
Pros: quick and easy on and off the bike
I use my Garmin e Trex Legend GPS to geocach on trails and this clip reliably attaches the gps to the handle bars of my mountain bike. We ride some rough trails and have even taken some tumbles and this clip holds up to the punishment!

ETREX MOUNTING CLIP
Pros: works, relatively inexpensive
Cons: tab is a bit flimsy
It's irritating that you even need this item it would be better if the back of the etrex had a compatible fixture, but at least this clip is modestly priced and it does work.
I found the arm connecting the tab to the screw lug is flimsy and tends to break so I'd buy a couple - they are quite hard to find.

Lost this part and needed it for both my truck and mtn-bike Garmin e-trex Vista Cx mount. Couldn't find it elsewhere asked at numerous stores (MEC, REI etc) and even checked Garmin website. No where to be found until I went to GPScity. Small part, but essential.

GREAT CLIP
I only use my bike on the road and paved trails but I have a lot of roots buckling the pavement along my normal commute route. I'm never worried about the stability of my Garmin due to this clip.

REPLACEMENT MOUNTING CLIP
Pros: provides a secure mount (when not broken).
Cons: locking clip can break when not in use.
I'm glad this item is available as a replacement part. The locking clip (large paddle at the top) can easily catch on things when mounted on the back of the eTrex, but not in a cradle. This resulted in the locking clip snapping off. I'll be more careful with this one.

GREAT PRODUCT...POOR SHIPPING
exactly what you need if your Etrex mounting clip is damaged or otherwise unavailable. Great price too! My only gripe was that the merchant dropped the clips into a cardboard mailing envelope with ABSOLUTELY NO PADDING which greatly increases the chances that they would be damaged in transit.

Good price on item. Available from Garmin but is $10.00 plus shipping. Glad I was able to find it. Could probably send the item via post office for a lot less. See cons. The price of postal tracking drives up the price of shipping. Am tired of paying high shipping costs.

Cons: shipping cost higher than the unit itself :(
I was annoyed at myself for misplacing the original clip that came with the unit because I "knew I would never need it...". But this was an exact replacement and works perfectly.

WASTE OF MONEY UNLESS IT'S ON SALE
Not used with RAM brand mounts. Overpriced but when on sale for a buck or two worth having an extra if you use Garmin mounts. A little flimsy for my tastes.

Pros: genuine garmin part.
I use my eTrex Legend HCx on my mountain bike and also as a handheld. The clip and Garmin's handlebar mount are perfect, but the clip is a nuisance when you don't need it for the bike mount so I only put it on when I'm going to use it on the bike. I'm always putting the one that came with the unit somewhere where I can't possibly miss it next time I need it. Wrong!! So I figured if I get a couple of spares I'll be able to find at least one of them when I need one. Got a couple when they were on sale at a pretty good price.
