GREAT ITEM

Cons: none
This is a great item, and works perfectly with my eTrex Legend HCx (remember to use the piece that was provided with the eTrex). It's very sturdy and extremely secure. I have it mounted on my Polaris HD side-by-side which is used in very rough terrain. I never worry about this mount or my HCx.

AUTO MOUNT - PART NO 010-10274-00
I received this mount as a gift, First, I thought it was great, but soon found out, that even thou it says it compatible for all e-trek units. ---- Wrong!!!!. The supplied back plate(cover) with the mounting unit is not the same as the one that comes with the GPS (Legend CX). The Legend CX back cover has a jutted out area to cover the Micro card(Memory Card). I have checked the Garmin site and several others that sell the etrek series GPS and found that they all says it compatible. I will assume that most GPS handhelds e-trek series with a Memory chip in the back are the same. THIS MOUNT WILL NOT FIT, unless you again change the back plate supplied with the mounting unit.
[Ed. note: You are required to use the little clip that ships with all eTrex H, HC, HCx, C, and Cx models. This will enable you to use all of Garmin's mounts. ]
