DAKOTA 20
Pros: screen visibility is amazing in sunlight
Unit is great but dont waste your money on the canadian topo map. Topo map is garbage. I purchased the back roads and trails map and is it perfect for my application (hunting/quading). In hindsite i could have saved money if I had just purchased the basic unit and then the back roads map. Overall, this unit is amazing.

VERY NICE GPS
Pros: fast compac accurate gps Cons: canadian topo
The GPS Dakota 20 is my first hiking GPS. It is nice unit with plenty of applications. The display is small but sufficient and I don't have any problem using it. Buttons on the touch screen are small so I use stilys instead of finger. Canada Topo maps are below my expectations. I expected hiking routes there. Unfortunately neither main hiking routes are on the maps. It is easy however to find a restaurant or a gas station nearby.

GARMIN DAKOTA 20 REVIEW
Pros: good signal, rugged, reliable, and good value Cons: screen is a little dim during the day time
It's small size makes it very handy and convenient for whenever I go out. The screen seems a little dim during the day time making it hard to see.

GARMIN DAKOTA 20 FOR GEOCACHING
Pros: easy to use. accurrate, even in canyons. Cons: none that i have found so far.
I recently purchased this product specifically for geocaching. I have found it to be very user friendly and fun to use. With a premium membership from geocaching.com, you can download caches directly to this GPS. It is very accurate and captures satellites very quickly, even in canyons and under tree cover. The touch screen is great and the waypoint and geocaching functions are pretty idiot proof (I am not very technologically adept, but have had no difficulty with this product). The screen is easily readable, even in bright sunlight.

GREAT OUTDOOR GPS
Pros: small, durable, many features, easy on batteries. Cons: screen a bit small for the needed map resolution.
This is a great little device that does all I had hoped it would and more. It is loaded with neat features, and it performs quickly and accurately. There is only one thing about the device that I find a little annoying. In order to see all the details needed on the map, I often have to expand the map so much that I lose track of the big picture due to the small screen size. One suggestion to help with this (and still keep the screen size, and hence the device, small) would be for the map to flip from vertical to horizontal whenever you turn the device, like the display on the I-Phone. Other than that, I think this device is absolutely fantastic!
