GARMIN ACCESS
Pros: sticks well in vehicle
Unfortunately this last bunch did not stick well, GPScity sent new ones right away, great service, highly recommended, I have used these items and GPSCITY in the past and will do so again.

STICKY / LEAVES NO MARKS.
Pros: no residue / sticks adequately. Cons: looses strength when hot, but still okay.
Worked on my van dashboard for a couple of years before coming loose. Pulled it up and with a little effort it left no visible mark. Bought new disks 'cause the first ones worked so well.

DOES WHAT IS ADVERTISED
Pros: sticks real good Cons: not heat tollerant
I use these temp mounts as 2 sided tape to hold wire brackets in the car. Unfortunatly on hot days the brackets will creep down and you keep having to push them back to the original position. These wire brackets hold my Nuvi wires in place going to the unit on the dash.

DOES THE TRICK
Pros: easily removed w/out damaging the dash Cons: in the heat, the life is shortened a bit
This adhesive works very well, and actually comes off (with a little elbow grease) with out damaging the dash. Only complaint is that in hot weather (90 plus), the stick starts to loose it's connection and the mount begins to fall forward when the Garmin is hooked up. But (depending on where you live) it has a life of about 8-14 months before it needs to be replaced (I'm in So. Cal.).

JUST AS BAD AS THE OTHERS
They fail when the temp reaches 80 degrees. They are worse than the original.

2 SIDED ADHESIVE TAPE, ROUND
Pros: cheap Cons: doesn't hold up above 80 degrees.
I used this 2 sided disk to put a gps on a motorcycle fairing. It held well until it got to be a warm 80 degree day. Then it let go. I'd suggest silicone adhesive if your application will see warm temps.

The disks are definitely temporary in hot weather. In the summer sun, my Garmin 196 became unglued while driving. You should be sure the car is cooled down inside before mounting your GPS on the base if the car has been parked in hot sunshine for a while.
