NERVOUS BREAK IN

I just got a Nuvi 250W and thought I'd break it in on a motorcycle ride I was taking 80 miles away to Benton-Lee's Steakhouse in Uvalda, GA. I had told some guys I ride with about it and they wanted to check it out, so we set a date. We had never been there but had heard great stories of the enormous steaks they serve!

The night before the ride, I programmed the address into the NUVI and figured I'll just ride in back of the group and see how the GPS does. The steakhouse is in a very rural area of GA, so I was interested to see if it's worth the hassle.

When I arrived at the meeting place the next morning on my Kawasaki Concours-14, I was shocked to see what had started out as a few guys from work going on a friendly ride, to a full out convoy in search of red meat! There were 18 bikes all together including Harley's and Jap bikes, Iron horse Choppers and even a Vespa scooter! I knew about half the people there.

We mingled a little and waited for the last few to show up then people started asking who knew how to get there. No one knew how to get there! I figured someone wouuld know! I've only lived here about a year, so I was far from being a local. I had shown a few guys my GPS earlier (mistakenly), so they decided I should lead the pack! My stomach dropped as I tried to get out of it, but they didn't care.

Well, let me say that that Nuvi 250W not only got us there (avoiding hwys), but was dead on with every upcoming turn. Even in the rural areas by the banjo music when you couldn't even see a turn ahead! I just put my blinker on and the turn appeared!
We got our fill of steak and had a great ride. Best of all I learned that my GPS is great piece of gear!

Can't wait for my Ram Mount to arrive to make it even better!
