GPS City Canada offers you the security of extending the manufacturer's warranty for an additional one (1) or two (2) years after the manufacturer's warranty expires.

It is a known fact that within any high-volume manufacturing process a percentage of units will and do develop problems or defects during their useful lifetime.

When you order this coverage for your GPS product, please retain your original invoice enclosed with your order - this is your proof of purchase for the Extended Warranty for your product.
Buy Up To 30 Days Later
Want to take advantage of this program, but forgot to buy it at time of purchase? No problem! You can buy an Extended Warranty for most GPS receiver products purchased from GPS City Canada anytime up to 30 days after the date of purchase.
Free Annual Firmware Upgrade
For the non-technical user, the Extended Warranty allows you to send in your unit once each year for a FREE software upgrade (ie. the firmware that operates the unit). This saves you the hassle of ordering an interface cable and connecting, configuring, and downloading the new software into the unit. There is a standard $9.95 fee for each upgrade to cover our handling and return shipping costs to you. To make a claim, complete our Return Request form and indicate that it is an extended warranty claim. Please note that you are responsible for the return shipping costs to us, and upon completion of the upgrade, we use standard ground shipping to return the unit to you.
What is covered?
This policy is an extension of the manufacturer's written warranty. We cover the parts and labor necessary to repair your GPS unit to factory specifications in the event of any defect in materials or workmanship of your product during the coverage period. We also cover the cost of returning the unit to you via Standard or Ground service. If your product cannot be repaired, we will provide a replacement model with equal or better features. Note that this coverage extends only to the GPS unit - cables and accessories are not included under this plan, even if included as accessories of your original model when purchased. All claims must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice showing date of purchase. GPS City Canada is the sole agency in assessing cause of damage for all claims under this program.
What is not covered?
This plan does not cover: 1) repair or replacement of any cables or accesssories that came with your GPS model, 2) repairs to your unit caused by misuse, mishandling, or abuse of the unit, and 3) any loss or accidental damage to your unit. We cover all the parts and labor necessary to repair your GPS receiver to factory specifications in the event of any defects in materials or workmanship of your product for the coverage period.
Hassle Free Claims Service
We provide hassle-free service for all claims made under this plan. To make a claim, complete our Return Request form and indicate that it is an extended warranty claim. You must have a valid RMA (return material authorization) number before the unit can be returned to us. Please note that you are responsible for the return shipping costs to us, and upon completion of the repair, we pay standard shipping charges to return the unit to you. All claims must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice showing date of purchase.
