Pros: very accurate. easy to set up Cons: battery time 2.5 hours. bit longer would be nice.
Purchased the Dual GPS150 for use with with marine charts on my I-pad. Works like a charm. Easy to set up and use and very accurate.
Should be used in addition to paper charts but could be used as a charplotter.

ONE PROBLEM, BUT OTHERWISE GREAT!
Pros: lightweight, accuracy, ease of use. Cons: could be a little more robust
The first unit I received had a problem with the tiny function switch on the side (near the USB port). GPS City had a replacement unit to me the very next day, no questions asked. The new unit is working perfectly! Outstanding customer support from GPS City!

PERFECT FOR BACKPACKING WITH AN IPHONE
Pros: small, simple, accurate
The iPhone has some great apps for tracking you hike, but I often found myself in terrain or weather where the iPhone could not get a good location.
With the XGPS150 I get an accurate location on my iPhone even in snowfall in a back country forest, and withou even having to mount it outside of my pack. I just keep it inside my pack.
It worked out of the box with my favorite GPS app, Trails, and the built-in maps app without any configuration or installs.
The Dual XGPS150 is exactly what I was hoping for to make my iPhone 4 a better wilderness GPS.

Pros: easy too use Cons: dropped bluetooth connection and short battery lif
This GPS Receiver functions as advertised but on occasion it drops the Bluetooth connection. I was disappointed in the battery life in that it would only last around 5-6 hours. Other than that it connected easly to my IPOD Gen 4. The receiver will also connect with any app that requires a GPS.

GEOCACHING TOOL
Pros: price, seemlessly syncs w/ ipod/phone gps apps Cons: no removable battery. some minor accuracy issues.
After reviewing the options for a paperless geocaching GPS that generally run around $500, I came across this.
The geocaching app for iPod/iPhone is unmatched in simplicity, and this syncs perfectly to the device, so adding/updating the GPS in these units makes this a no-brainer.
It's not perfect. but as a geocacher, I'm probably picky. A couple of times my wife wound up walking the wrong way before the signal caught up, but I'd say that 1/2 the time it's been more accurate than my eTrex Legend, the other half vice-versa. No better, no worst.
For the money and the benefit of having it sync with my iPod apps, it's definitely worth it.

GOOD GPS ADDITION FOR IPAD
This GPS receiver works very well with my WiFi Ipad2. I use it for navigating in the bush and if you open up a Google Satelite map while you are still in WiFi coverage it will provide great Satelite images to navigate by. The only problem that I had with the unit was that the first unit that I received would not pair with my Bluetooth. I called the manufacturer for tech support but they could not get it working. The second unit that I received (after returning the first) also would not pair but it did so after I reset the Ipad2.

Pros: easy to use, good signal, easy to cary Cons: "on" button is a pain and seems not too durable
I bought it in order to have a gps application linked to my Ipod Touch and it works great. Yes it took a while the first time I turned it on to get the satellite signals, but afterwards it only takes a few seconds. Great product... don't know about the durability, though.

GREAT IPOD TOUCH GPS
Pros: accurate. fast. easy to use. small.
This is a great gps. It links up through bluetooth to an iPod and comes with an app to monitor the gps. It links to apps for navigation like tomtom or other map apps. The only slight downside is that since it has no memory of where it last was, it will always take about 20 seconds to initially find itself. After that the position always seems to be extremely accurate.

LIMITED BY THE PAIRED DEVICE.
Pros: inexpensive, accurate, power-sparing Cons: can't set device time, not waterproof
This device is very good, although basic, depending for all functionality other than determining latitute and longitute (it is not obvious if elevation is also determined). That means its functionality is limited by the device, and on- device app, that it is paired with. That means you can see where you are, but seemingly the time that you are there is not transferred to the paired device, which means any tracking function is limited by the accuracy of the on- device clock, which for i-devices, is abysmal. Worse, the i- operating systems do not allow apps, and hence external devices with accurate clocks, to set the internal clock, a pity since it would allow for much greater accuracy. As it is, things like geo-taging photos taken with the paired device, etc., are not possibly, since these depend on accurately matching phot-time and location-time.

GREAT UNIT PROVIDES GPS FOR WIFI-ONLY IPAD
Pros: reliable, quick pairing accurate battery life Cons: ipad doesn't get time from the xgps150
This is a great unit for providing GPS to a WiFi-only iPad. It pairs quickly and has a long battery life, and isn't limited to just your Apple device.
The only issue is that most/all iPad apps use the iPad's clock--not the GPS time that can be provided by the XGPS150- -so your "when" may not be correctly synced with your "where". This isn't much of a problem as most folks just care about "where", but be careful if you're trying to sync with other time sources, such as other GPS units or camera clocks.

VERY GOOD GPS
I'm using this GPS to add the location feature to my Ipod. Since then I have found a new utility to running and hiking applications. It gave me a totally new motivation in my training. I can also enjoy the car navigation. I'm currently using Navigon North America, which works like perfect until now.
GPS accuracy is respectable, I would have hoped greater precision though for such a dedicated device.
