 Customers who have previously purchased Garmin Bluechart software on preloaded microSD/SD card will now be able to update their charts from home. These update cards with registration codes will are available now for both G2 and G2 Vision cards. After connecting the preloaded MicroSD/SD card to a computer via a card reader, the user simply goes to www.garmin.com/activatecard and enters the product key purchased. The website will erase all of the data on the card and replace it with the most up-to-date version available for the same (or comparable) region that was originally loaded. This product has created a great benefit for Garmin customers, who previously were faced with the choice of either purchasing entirely new maps, or sending their old mapping in to be exchanged. |
