 Garmin, the global leader in satellite navigation, announced earlier this month that they will be the title sponsor of the Garmin Marathon. Formerly know as both the Oz Marathon and the Olathe Marathon, this year's marathon will begin and end at the Garmin headquarters in Olathe, Kansas. The marathon starts at 7am on Saturday, April 12, 2012. The days events will include the Dorothy Dash 5k, the Wickedly Fast Half marathon, and the Munchkin Marathon, a kids fun run, along with the full marathon main event. For runners looking to get a better understanding of the course route before April 12th, Garmin will be publishing the route on their Garmin Connect website. Garmin Connect is a community-based site for athletes who track their workouts and training sessions using Garmin's line of fitness products.
