Last week, TomTom announced it will launch TomTom HD traffic in Canada. The HD traffic will give drivers across Canada access to real time traffic information so they can determine the quickest route to their destination.
According to TomTom, the HD Traffic service covers about 99.9% of road networks, from high traffic roads to lesser-known local roads. With HD traffic, users stay up-to-date about the traffic on their current route along with the surrounding roads. If an accident or traffic jam happens that effects the route, the HD traffic will help the user chose an alternate route. Additionally, the results are updated every other minute so drivers are constantly aware of traffic situation.
TomTom HD Traffic is currently available in 22 countries including the United States. To access the traffic services in Canada, users must be have a GO LIVE 1535 M device. |
