Earlier this week, Garmin announced two new products for the City Navigator Israel software series.
The first product, now available for download, is Garmin's nuMaps Onetime Israel NT 2012. This onetime update will bring new life to the nuvi 1310 preloaded model or original DVD software by reflecting the newest street and location changes in Israel.
An alternate option, the second product allows users to add Israel maps to their current GPS. Garmin's new MicroSD/SD card offers 60,000 points of interest throughout Israel, making restaurants, hotels, ATMs and entertainment more accessible to travelers.
For the more adventurous type, Garmin released a topographic map of Israel on microSD/SD card last year. While less reliable for street data, users who enjoy outdoor activities can find detailed recreational data about Israel. Some of the features included on the topographical map are terrain contours, elevations and summits, paths and geographic points. With a compatible Garmin GPS, users can view 3D terrain shading with the Digital Elevation Model (DEM).
